I despair, I really do, there are some first class w.ankers on this site !
-
Well, he's playing today so we'll see just what he is made of against a top quality side ! This could be make or break for him IMHO !
-
I guess the fact that it is live on BT Sport means that it will go ahead ! TV rules the world these days after all !
-
Its been pelting down all night here (west Wight) and predicted to keep going ! I'm getting a bit worried about it TBH !
-
I would like to wish all the Skate dimwits a new year full of misery, doom, gloom and yet more unfulfilled dreams ! May your heroes become villains, may your fat congeal in your pipes, may your clock remain stopped and may you struggle in the conference ! You truly are the most delusionalistest fans in the whole wide world, congratulations !!!

Happy new year to Saints around the world ! F.uck the Skates
-
Happy New Year to all SaintsWeb regulars ! Wrist slitters, happy clappers, nutjobs and the rest ! God bless you all ! Euro

I notice that we used to play in stripes !

Gaston is an enigma but I feel that now could be a good time to give him a run in the first team to see just what he is capable of, if he doesn't shape up then well and good, he can be offloaded and replaced ! There will be plenty of takers as he clearly has a natural ability but it needs to be embedded within a team ethic ! In Pocho we trust !
-
Nothing to lose on this one, best we go gung-ho and just take them on ! They are good but not world beaters so we have every chance to get something out of it ! Bring 'em on....
-
A bit gutted after that, got no breaks at all from ref/lino (as expected!), the lads did really well and should have come away with a point ! No disgrace, bring on the Chelski.....
-
Was in that section last year and it might as well have been the away end. ! 90% Saints fans and most wearing the colours !
-
Having played 53 times for the Republic of Ireland, I reckon that you're down to four fingers !!

I feel that McKay, as an up and coming British manager, was doing a pretty good job and his record stands up to a fair degree of scrutiny so far ! To be outside of the relegation zone after 18 games gave them a good fighting chance to stay up after 50 odd years out of the top flight ! Before the 'dirty washing' issues, they were looking ok but seem to have suffered because of it ! Tan, on the other hand is clearly a megalomaniac who is used to being fawned upon by his minions in Asia and can't quite understand why Malky is getting the kudos for promotion etc.. He is putting up the money and expects the glory as a natural reward but resents the fact that someone else is more popular than him ! Of the two, I would prefer to be associated with a straight, honest, football man than someone who is clearly on a quest for celebrity, based on his wealth and perceived superior knowledge of England's national sport ! All IMHO of course !

What will you be drinking on New Year's Eve?
eurosaint replied to Halo Stickman's topic in The Lounge
I'm a real old fashioned traditionalist and will stick to champagne for the bells ! Before that probably a couple of pints then a bottle of Macon Lugny with the dinner ! Dancing to a pretty crap 60's live band who will no doubt get us all on the floor with their low quality rendition of ' Hi Ho Silver Lining'! Deep joy, bring it on .... ! -
I read it last month and had the same impression ! Was actually quite a good read, especially as I paid under 4 quid on Kindle !
-
Solid team performance, controlled midfield for most of the match and always looked dangerous in attack ! The difference between Shaw and Fox is similar to comparing Pele and Ali Dia ! JRod, Adam and Yoshida also due a special mention IMHO !
-
Festive greetings one and all (no exceptions!) from stormy Belgium ! May you all have a happy and safe time over the next few days !!
-
Guly is on the road to recovery ! HTH

Being as the thread is entitled "we've only won 3 more than Palace" I assumed that this was about matches in the Barclays Premier League and we did not lose to Sunderland ! Still think your post was ****** but everyone to his own I suppose !

Which club would be bottom of the 4th division if the Football League had had the balls to apply the mandatory 10 point penalty for breaching administration rules for the 4th time ???

Frattonman on the News site : 9:36 AM on 16/12/2013 For a start l would send Potts back to West Ham he was terrible Saturday and caught out of position several times at least Painter has good positional sense and knows where to be for crosses coming in ! Is this not that lad who was the next coming of the messiah only 2 or 3 weeks ago ?? Even by Skatey standards that's a pretty quick fall from hero to villian, is it not ??

We should take no blame whatsoever. Players know when they come here they will be playing in front of gates that will eclipse many Championship teams' crowds. If they feel intimidated by that they shouldn't come here in the first place or should volunteer for the exit door if they can't hack it. (Although if they sustain their shocking efforts, those gates may collapse.) Our fans have overdosed on dross. Again this miserable and dreadful team were booed off and Fratton emptied at a breathtaking rate yesterday. I am not one to leave until the final whistle...then I say I what I think. You leave and you hear snippets of conversations from the despairing masses: 'it is only two that go down into the Conference, isn't it?'Is Fratton becalmed this season?Watching this garbage, is it any wonder? Is the consequence of shame atonment? No, it's going from bad to even worse. We concede and cue the rousing of our team...to no discernible effect. Into the last minute of the Wycombe game- the fourth minute of injury time- and a corner given away by a ghastly sliced clearance from N'Gala. The first corner is just about survived and put behind by Carson. The next? Bundled into our net. I said to my fellow season-ticket holder: 'There will be a riot if this goes in.' Of course it did. There wasn't a riot or any anger. It was as if fans expected the worst and duly it arrived. As far as making mistakes go, they have been making them since day one of the season and probably before that since we leaked like a sieve even in pre-season. The players aren't good enough. The key is to make them tolerably bad so as to get us through the season with Conference status averted. So because the mistakes have flowed from the start and our players move from one game to another inexorably going from defensive cock-up to another, the fans are in no way culpable. This lot don't need barracking to induce fear into making errors. They do it of their own volition without our 'help'. I have no confidence in the players and I will tell this to their faces. I am disgusted with the results and performances this season. I am not going to post one thing on here and say another thing to their faces if I ever met them. Make no mistake, the patient isn't on the financial life support machine anymore, but the patient is still gravely sick. The Wallace money must be used to good effect. Five games in 15 days. Five season-defining games.Coppell and Richie, work the alchemist's touch. When you look at what our fans have had to endure- administrations, humiliations, relegations, pure rot on the field- I am sorry, but there comes a time when the players have to do something to raise the crowd; habitually and historically we do it for the players. They must reciprocate and give us something about which to cheer. How come this never affects Rangers who have home crowds of 45,000 and the rest of the league have a few hundred ! They have a 100% record at the moment ! Maybe the Skates are just sh#t, or has that not occurred to them ??
