Fonte won't get a testimonial, he'd have to stay till 2019. Davis should have one this summer though...expect a few ex-wimbledon players for that one too.

We're using that chant for Romeu so please no...bad enough we use one chant for four different players at the moment.

Bertrand is doing well, but he is essentially throwing himself at the attackers and letting Fonte and Van Dijk pick up the second ball. He'd struggle as one of two.

Playing in DM you're not going to notice him as much, but he kept the ball moving nicely for us, especially when switching the ball. I said in the summer that he could do what Schneiderlin did for us eventually, and he did half of it last night. Needs to find that bite and defensive awareness that Schneiderlin did after a couple of years playing the role.

So it's no longer the guy that did all the patterns at the end of the season?

With Mane gone in the summer we'll need another attacking player with flair and creativity. Reckon he'll step up then after already having had a year to settle, learn the system and "gel" with his teammates.

Might be ridiculous, but i'd rather keep Long than further develop our squad into one I have little connection with.
