Current + Potential Denfensive Midfielder Comparisions
Saint_clark replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
So the article trying to make out that Premier League teams are using Football Manager to scout players is utterly ridiculous and completely false, then. -
Andy Awford @andyawford · Jan 24 I don't know what I'm doing! #pompey I assumed this was a parody account, but there's mostly genuine tweets!? Is this real? https://twitter.com/andyawford

Have you read that article properly? Some of the info from FM is fed into a database used by clubs all over the world. Hardly Wenger sitting down at a computer with a copy of FM15 and using the "player search" function to find a new player is it. -
Bit different when they're the biggest teams in their countries, playing in the champions league themselves.

I've noticed a new level of stupidity and hypocrisy amongst pompey fans recently. They've started referring to us as 'a sky franchise fc', presumably taking the moral high ground because they're fan owned etc. However they still bang on about their 2008 cup win, the other cup final and their 'success' in the prem, even though they at the time were more 'sky franchise fc' than anyone what with the ridiculous spending beyond their means. It's also a stupid label to put on us anyway considering how well run we are and how we're most probably going to make a sizeable profit for this financial year.

Well i've got a ST in the northam but couldnt go yesterday as it was too short notice to get it off work.

Depends how it heals I would guess. If it doesn't heal properly then he won't be able to do anything that risks violent impact on his chest, surely? Even just the ball hitting his chest from a shot or clearance could reopen poorly healed wounds.

Yeah, I'm sure he was supposed to be injured till after the game at St Marys but obviously not.
-
Jesus. Hope he recovers well - sounds like he might be out for a while.

Wasn't it only one player different from the team that started V Newcastle?
-
Just saw the goals, is it just me or does it look like Sanogos goal flies in off Bertrands palms?
-
Absolutely insane set of results today. Betting on those upsets would probably have given you upwards of 1000/1
-
At least we got to the fourth round of the cup. I'd take injuries to Wanyama and Long for that all day.
-
Bertrand was not convincing, or comfortable, at centre back v ipswich. Odd one.
-
Wtf is happening!?
-
Are Blackburn protesting against their owners or something?
-
Strongest possible team there without a doubt. Confident of a victory. Congrats to Davis on 100 appearances for the club as well, that was fast work!
-
Tickets £20, not too expensive but not cheap enough for what it is.

Some slightly ill informed questions there, always bugs me. Things like "you took over at the club after administration, after the likes of Bale and Walcott had gone"...Walcott left 2 and a half years before we went into administration ffs.

Saints, Derby, Spurs, Birmingham and Watford-1 at 35/1.
-
Is that the best you could come up with? A man with "minor injuries" after being physically attacked by 4 others - NO GUNS INVOLVED? Hardly comparable to a 5 year old shooting a 9 month old baby, or indeed any other of the hundreds of incidents a year involving guns in the US.

Chant for Elia - (To the chorus) He's just too good, too good for you, He's just too good, that Elia-lia-lia Repeat. Someone could probably come up with better words than that, but I think that tune HAS to be used. It's perfect.
