That's right, focus on the foul by Lallana rather than Gerrard giving the ball away in the first place.
-
Nutmegged, England career over.
-
Ouch, wonder what his family think sat there listening to that. Part of me wants to see him come on just to hear the reaction...
-
How has boy wonder missed that one?
-
Yep, not many players in the world can win the ball and run 5 yards before being fouled.
-
I do much prefer the gentle buzz of a sh*t atmosphere like we have right now.
-
Heavy Liverpool bias in the first half, probably swap around for the Saints attacking trio in the second. It'd be a bit unfair to give the Liverpool lads a go with players they all know and then shove Saints in mix matched, as he did last time round.
-
The cynic in me thinks they were trying to ensure their mate sterling gets a start instead of Lallana.
-
Funny, I remember a fantastic 40 yard ball diagonally into the box that was only just headed away from Lambert by Skrtel for a corner.
-
Fonte and Rodriguez greatly improved I'd imagine.

Jwp not good enough because he's too small and lightweight? Do people still honestly believe that you can't be a good footballer if you're not over 6'2 and well built? Unbelievable. The kid is going to be a massive player for us for years to come. I'm done with this place, too many utter morons, reading some of the tripe on here will give me brain cancer.

Saying someone got drunk isn't libellous.

Anyone else reminded of when kids in school used to challenge each other to fights outside the school gates? Anyway...Clegg wouldn't have suggested this unless he was confident, he'll know about how he and Farage are viewed by the majority of the population. I reckon he'll have something up his sleeve, there'll be a policy announcement in this f'sure. Just watched the video, had to laugh at:

Not saying we don't need another striker, obviously we do, but people dismissing Rodriguez as someone who could get 20+ goals a season is a bit silly. With hard work he could definitely improve his first touch and one on one finishing, and become a much more regular goal scorer. In fact I'll be amazed if he isn't scoring over 20 goals in the Prem at least one season before his career is over.

Pochettino would "jump at the chance to manage PSG"

I bet he comes out next week and says that he has no idea where these quotes came from (probably in the PC on thursday). -
Penalty for handball turned down (wrongly) I see.

Mental that you are even considering Lovren as not worth the money. Just...absolutely mental.
-
Back to the side that served us well, except for Ramirez in for JWP and Gallagher in for Lambert? Looking forward to seeing Lovren back.

"No plan B" has been levelled at every single manager we've had for as long as I can remember. It seems to be the go-to criticism when people are unhappy. Fact is, I can remember us playing a few different ways this season - high pressing, standing off a bit, going long to Lambert, going out wide to the full backs, Rodriguez/Lallana coming deep and then running the ball into the opponents half/final third and then many variations of the above. Above all else I think our players are given a lot of freedom in what they do in an attacking sense. This is why the likes of Lallana, Shaw and Lambert are (IMO) passed to more than any of our other players, because they're reliable in the amount of chances they create. We don't play a rigid "system A, OK that's not working, try system B".

The EU gets slated here but there are people literally fighting and dieing to be a part of it in other countries. Makes you think...
-
Probably some well-meaning soul putting them back in the water every time.
-
We'd been back to top form after he left, and only in the last 2 have we played poorly.
-
Good on ya, lad. They still unbeaten?

Strange time to start this thread, seeing as things seem to be heading towards a resolution now. Venezuela is the one to watch out for now but I've seen nothing about it on the Beeb. Government forces marching through the streets shooting protesters, with internet cut off to try and contain it as much as possible. Tensions worldwide are massively high, with more and more countries getting utterly fed up with the contempt they're treated with by the governments who are supposed to be acting in their interests. One of the reasons I don't think I'd go to Brazil this summer even if I could afford it...

Mopo "We are targeting the Europa League"
Saint_clark replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
There's already a thread on this. But of course, Glasgow has to get some more attention.
