Too many people out on the lash last night I think, but it's no excuse...I'd much rather not drink too much and go to football in a decent mood/frame of mind.

Anyone got the stats for shots on targets/goals conceded since Gazza has been in goal? I can't remember him making any saves.
-
Actually didn't do that badly today. Some woman was laying into Fox after Hooivelds own-goal, which was bizarre.

Christ, what a bump this was. What did Dibden do to get banned?

Vincent Tan tells Malky Mackay to resign - or he'll be sacked

Surely that's not legal? -
The long ball stat is meaningless as the requirement for a long ball isn't actually that far...also most of those are switching the play from side to side. The pass completion stat surprises me however, and I'm not sure I'm convinced about that one when you consider we rarely run with the ball (choosing to pass instead) and quite often pass it back and amongst the defence. But the tone of that article isn't objective or unbiased, it's almost bitter. And if you look at other articles written by her, you'll see she thinks Fellaini fits in perfectly at United and that she's written "spiteful" articles about other clubs in the past : http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A25494744

No Saints youth in England U18s training squad in January...

How has the Jimmy Saville lookalike been called up, he looked atrocious. Hesketh made him look a right mug at one point, flicking it over his head. Also, more forwards than midfielders? -
Don't think they were actually that late, Arsenal equalised in injury time (or rather, beyond injury time...b*stards).

Post Match Reaction: Newcastle United 1-1 SAINTS

I have to say that just from watching the highlights all I saw Gazza do was make mistakes. He may have done some decent stuff, and I know that keepers make the odd mistakes...but when they're make 2, 3, 4 or more in a game you know there's something wrong. -
It's technically thanksgiving, but that's going way off on a tangent.

Anyone taken their kids out of term time since the new law?

I'm hoping he was being sarcastic as it was one of the most ridiculous things i've heard. Didn't even realise they did this, does it not seem a bit wrong to anyone else? -
Lubbly jubbly. Could be another sending off here yet.

Sandro is injured and Dembele isn't really physical.

Dawson booked today, misses the game against us.

I thought I had a tenner on them to go down at 12-1. Turns out it was a tenner at 40-1.

why does Osvaldo not turn up for 90% of most games?
Saint_clark replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I think it may be time to give Rodriguez a run of games in the centre forward role, when he's played there before he's shown himself more than capable of holding the ball up/knocking it on/challenging in the air and he's the only striker in goalscoring form right now. -
Can see him ending up with more goals than Lamberts tally last season.
-
Exactly this. Did you say anything to them at the time? I rather think not. But they would have look like right knobs if you'd made the same points in the ground. Kind of like a Monty Python sketch - "What has Pardew ever done for us?". "Signed Rickie Lambert, Jose Fonte, won the JPT, gave us a winning mentality, helped Lallana discover his goalscoring touch, introduced Chamberlain..."

A few games ago when Osvaldo wasn't providing goals people were applauding him for the fact that he put himself about and got stuck in, now the game was too physical for him?
