Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints
Saint_clark replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Because they wouldn't want to go if given assurances that we were still looking to progress. -
Absolutely.

You do realise he wanted to go and we got an outstanding deal for him? -

Disintegration is a strong word but otherwise I agree, the only person I think we could possibly lose is Shaw and I would have no doubt about the rest staying. -

Interesting quote - possible slip suggesting a disagreement with the owners about the training ground? What was happening with construction around december time, was that when work had stopped or was that ages ago? -
If there's no reason given then how could they know it should have been the other way around?

What Clubs / Players Have Survived The Big Four Approaches
Saint_clark replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
I'm sure there have been a few that stayed for a while but then left after a few seasons. In all honestly I don't expect players to stay forever - and I reckon many people feel the same - just that leaving after one good season is a kick in the guts. -

"No Planes Hit The Twin Towers" claims ex-CIA agent
Saint_clark replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Lounge
This is exactly what I said. It's all very well saying that an airplane should do this, this and this on impact in theory. But the only way you'll know for sure what will happen is when it actually happens. That's why scientists do experiments to test their theories. -
And looked poor to average in every other game. Townsend, whilst also overrated, has contributed more this season.
-
Strange post as he was actually much less effective than Townsend last season.
-
When you actually look at the amount of ex-players that joined the staff under Cortese it kind of sh*ts on the theory that he wanted to erase our history. And yet here we are without Cortese and potentially one or two ex-players being sacked from their coaching roles.

So they'll only be shown during mid half water breaks meaning we won't miss any actual football. Not that big a deal. I remember in the fa cup a couple of years ago they went to adverts during extra time and missed an everton goal. THAT was something worth getting ****ed off about.
-
I would assume so otherwise our first team squad would be swarming with them. Don't forget we must have at least 20 players in each youth category (at a guess) and we definitely cant keep them all.

Pool looks a bit small. Should have gone olympic size.

His last statement was less than a week ago for god sake. I swear some people think the club should be giving daily updates.
-
Joined in with it at a game earlier in the season...seemed a bit too slow to get going to be honest.
-
Check the transfers of other clubs, by comparison we haven't done as bad.

When I viewed it last comments were being heavily moderated (deleted) and 2 of mine were, as well as the like/dislike bar not being shown. Now they've just disabled comments altogether, presumably because it was too much hassle deleting 99% of comments that disagreed with you. Ironic from a group that screams freedom of speech whenever they're called racists.
-
I laughed at that too.

As well as Ramirez and Osvaldo if some people are believed, how convenient.

Been a massive fan of Guly. Good luck to him.

If you ever get a request saying you need to update your flash, just totally ignore it and go to the adobe website to check the versions there. 99 times out of 100 it's a virus.

A good way of looking it is imagining where we are and where he is at the end of his career. That £27million will be long gone and probably will be totally irrelevant.
