Embarrassing isn't it. Yes it'd be a big loss, and yes there's a chance a couple of people will be unsure about their future. But the core of the club is still the same. No reason the manager and players can't continue their ambitions without Cortese. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that I don't think Cortese will leave.

People always say "one injury and that's it" in these scenarios, but when was the last time a player had a career ending injury at that age? And ask youself - what is harder to come by in football this day and age? A left back who could quite easily be as good as Ashley Cole was in his prime, or £30million?
