So we've got rid of a d!ck and are getting a willi..... Bring it on!
-
If it wasn't so serious I'd laugh. Administration is a lottery and this guy would be ten times worse than Lowe.
-
I'm sure his newspaper made no mention of the allegations..... hypocrite.

Wanted new owner. Friendly fans. Apply within.

And now, the end is near, and so we face, the final curtain. My friends, I'll say it clear, We'll go bust, of which I'm certain. We've played, a game of chance, we've signed loads but not Steve Highway. And now this, screwed by Le Tis, We did it our way. Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention. We've boo'd, slagged off our players, everyone's fault, without exemption. We marched, sung Lowe out, some even wished, for administration, And more, we're out of cash, We did it our way. Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew, We'd walk the league, it would be a doddle. But through it all, when there was doubt, As Dalek says, if we'd appointed Hoddle. But we said no, and we stood tall, And did it our way. We've loved, We've laughed and cried, We've had our fill; our share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think, we did all that, and may I say --- not in a shy way, "Oh no, oh no not me, we did it our way".

The only thing that worries me (assuming MF has the money) is that this guy seems a bit of a football hobbyist. I hope that he doesn't interfere with team affairs. Every time I see the photo of Mark Fialka I know it is only a matter of time before: - a training top with initials gets ordered - he goes running in the New Forest with the squad.
-
Call me naive but what is racist about a dustbin lid? Personally I am still worried - the quote above "An unnamed source said: “I’m honestly shocked. It’s more shocking than Michael Jackson’s death. He’s one of the best talker s you’ll ever meet. “I imagine he’s a front man with someone else’s money as he doesn’t have the trappings of a wealthy individual. He must be working with some very wealthy people.” What if he isn't a front man and is the only man? He's got the gift of the gab and access to just enough to buy the club, but not enough cash to do anything with it? I'll give anything a chance, but we really know very little about the bid other than some warm words and (so far) slipping deadlines.

I have it on god authority that the Swiss will join forces on Monday and they want their own man as chairman (not-MLT). I can exclusively reveal that the chairman will be a big hitter in the auto industry : "Buying a football club is like making love to a beautiful woman," says Swiss Tony. "You've got to start slow, prod around a bit, then all the action happens in the last five minutes - and it's more likely to happen if you've got a bag load of cash."

Jesus, let the obsession go man. It's called an opinion. You're as obsessed as Stanley was with Lowe. Speaking of which we haven't seen much of him recently have we?

.... it has never happened before... oh. "Sheard, who knew Morrison from his previous involvement with sportswear firm ASICS, persuaded him to take up the offer but the return funding never arrived. Sheard's involvement in bidding for control of Wednesday has been mired in controversy. In September, the Yorkshire Post revealed he had initially engaged the services of a convicted money launderer to produce a proof of funding letter from a non-operational bank in Dominica which had no account holders and no money. At the time, Sheard claimed that the fake proof of funding had simply been a means of "getting a foot in the door" to open negotiations with Wednesday. There is no evidence of a connection between the bank letter and the scheme to lever in millions of pounds from Switzerland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spencer_Trethewy Same ****, different decade?
-
Because of fans reaction if (a) they don't think you have enough money and (b) if you say a single word out of place. I'd rather chop my todger off with a rusty hacksaw than be owner or chairman of a football club.

Reports that Michael Jackson is dead are incorrect. He did not die of a heart attack, he was found in the childrens ward having a stroke.

Why don't you Beat It with your Bad jokes. You should look at the Man in the Mirror before you make jokes like that....
-
Well based on the money man that they wheeled out, you'd have to question how much money Pinnacle do have. They may have more than one backer, but you have to be a bit naive if, after all the "who is he" debate, you wheel out someone who, appears to not have a pot to **** in. Bigger pot than me mind, so it is stretching the point, but you get my drift.
-
Hurrah for administration.

Fry answers only to the creditors. No statement is necessary. Nice, yes. Interesting, yes - but keeping the fans informed is not in his job description.

What becomes of MLT if Pinnacle pull out at the death?
Alain Perrin replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
Will you stop banging on about Lowe...... -
Is it possible? Could Pinnacle takeover and the backer then refuse to show himself? Is he obliged to do so by the FL or FA? Would we have to face up to years of "I think it is Tabor" threads? At least with a PLC we knew who owned us p.s. Simon Cowell and Phillip Green are going into business together.... could it be..... erm no.
-
My take on this is : - the points position has to be sorted (or accepted) regardless of who buys us. - it would appear that time (driven primarily by wages day) is running out. - if Lynam doesn't deliver, then there are others who perhaps will. Fry's problem is the wages have to be paid asap to avoid his hand being forced and the asset value diminishing. How does he best achieve that - Pinnacle or A.N Other? I guess he has to back his horse soon.
-
I am truly shocked by your choice....
-
Because there are about 1.6billion threads saying nothing. When something substantive is posted it is useful to pull it out so it can be seen.

Email campaign to expose what the slithery snake Mawhinney has done
Alain Perrin replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Glad to see you are keeping an open mind and I am sure they said the same about your email. I think there are a number of facts people are missing here, technicalities aside. We (Southampton - the club, regardless of how it was structured) had £20m of debt. This debt was built up buying and paying players, building a stadium and a training ground, and financing world class catering. Post administration we still have all of those things except the debt has been reduced to say £5m. Regardless of the rules, that's not fair on the other clubs. As a fan, I'd love for us to escape the 10 point penalty, but if you look at it objectively we would gain an unfair advantage from it. I don't blame Pinacle for trying, they're just trying to maximise the value of their investment, but we shouldn't turn it into a moral crusade. We're trying to bend the rules / cheat the system - if it works, great, but we shouldn't hold our heads up high about it. (figures are examples only)
