Must sign Toby and Bertrand up..................
Alain Perrin replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
It depends what is in the loan agreements. If we have a first refusal and agreed price then I'd wait until the summer. It'll keep the players hungry and protect Saints against any long term injury between now and then. Perhaps (other than player happiness and possibly reducing other clubs likely challenging us for their signature ), the only benefit is if it would allow Bertrand to play vs. Chelsea. -

I thought he looked good in the WC. Plays everywhere, good engine even at 34.

Reading this back is golden. What's the collective noun for a bunch of knee jerking penises?

Lead match on Motd. -
I wonder if the international call ups had a negative impact on some of our performances? It's got to be in the back of peoples mind not to want to get injured before a debut call up?

Agreed. I suggest we need a minutes silence.

Years ago in the Lowe / Wilde era there was a concerted effort by the rival groups to influence fans through message boards. A few favours, trips and freebies led to this message boards previous incarnation being in the pocket of one of the parties, the rival party hired some PR goons to post positive messages on his behalf and got rumbled by some IP address detective work. Hence the 'plant' suspicion pervades in some posters. You can't blame the club for conducting good PR, they should be, however a posters objectivity can be the cost. -
I think people are being a bit precious. It's true that fan's expectations at Liverpool are greater (years of titles) than at Southampton (years of flirting with relegation). It's also true that teams are more inclined to park the bus at Anfield than at St Mary's. I'm sad that it ended like it did and some of the things he said weren't the wisest - but I really doubt the way he was interpreted is the way he really feels (otherwise he would have left in L1). It's not like he didn't put in a shift and had been with us for years. From me, Lovren after one season represents more of a betrayal. Either way, I think we have replaced well.

Very much agree. Lambert is best played as a string puller as per Teddy Sheringham. He's not the best as a target man which there's a danger a bench warmer will be seen as. It's a shame because, as a bit part player, I think he'll struggle to read double figures (in apps and goals).

Agree with this. Too much recycled garbage. Or "Agree with THIS! Too much RECYCLED garbage" as the prepubescent headline writers would have it.

Worked for me. not sure I'll use it tbh but worth a try. I've NFC on my cards already so an extra step of loading cash seems a bit of a pain.

Is this really an issue, or just a result of our "someone's offended somewhere" culture? Granted there might be some living relatives of survivors but no one alive who knew someone who perished. Of those, I doubt any are on Twitter. I all for outrage but there are plenty of other current issues to be outraged about.

Is this wise, what with him having Ebola and all?

Thanks for destroying my nascent dreams of being a lyricist. I am really hurt by your opinion..... Stadium announcer and also one of the highlights I watched on Saturday pronounced it as "Pell". Noting the stadium announcer also mixed up Wanyama and Mayuka so may not be the best point of reference!

You've a prat with a bell, A prat with a be-ll, We've got our Pele, Who we pronounce Pell.

Agreed. The best thing for SFC is if Poch's position is under threat by Xmas.

If it says 23.08 now, I can confirm there's a problem.

Does the "Saints go Wilde" t-shirt still fit because that's where fan action got us? The fact that we have risen from the ashes has more to do with luck that Markus turned up, than bed wetting reactionaries. That and the fact that our assets made us a good acquisition - principally the stadium that evil Lowe built brick by brick with his bare hands Otherwise our Pinnacle would probably have been League 1 like Pompey.

Arsenal are always fair in their ticket prices, just look at their season ticket deals..... Oh.
