I worked in Bournemouth for a couple of years and although they throw the word scummer about, there's a lot of saints fans down there who get very little abuse. It's not a hatred they have. Personally never really hated them. I know they hate us far more than we hate them. Up until 2003 I always wanted them to join us in the premier league for the good of south coast football. Then 2 things happened. They're total lack of respect after Ted Bates passed away, and then their total lack of humility once they got to the top table. Ever since they spent way beyond their means and bragged about it for 7 long years I've started to dislike them. Not hate, dislike. Now it's a brilliant gift that keeps on giving as they decline further and further. I never hope they go out of existence, just that as a club they suffer for generations. Only fair...not that they'd know the definition of fair.

Don't see any reason for it to rise above inflation. If at all. We hardly sell out and price is a big reason for that. People will probably also hold back to see if we sell our bet players before buying a ST.

All relative really. I've lived in Southampton (and close by), Plymouth, Exeter, Portsmouth, Crawley and Bognor. Admittedly some of these places for a short amount of time but Southampton is the best...by far. It's not amazing. It's not ****. It has the potential to be much more though.

Would like Sunderland to go down as we can never beat them. The thought of going all that way to see us lose again gives me shivers. Would like Adkins to beat 'Ary in the play off final. Would make his failure more public.

Never easy for a young keeper to break through. I know Les Read said recently he doesn't believe in investing in players development and a "Southampton way" only to then loan them out. However with keepers I think it's worth it.

17k for L2 is a decent crowd. Even if it's kids for a quid and adults for £10. Decent crowd it may be, but my god, on twitter they're going on like it's something no other club could ever replicate. They were in the PL just a few years ago. Of course discounts and giveaways will put bums on seats. Shame they didn't put on a show to encourage repeat custom at full price.

I was always quite fond of Tony Gubba. Mots on really has to retire. I also don't mind Colin Murray. It's clearly meant to be a more laid back show and makes easy listening. Although Bob Mills is terrible. Durham and Gough are clearly there to get a reaction. I'm too chilled out to get wound up by someone on the radio so find it amusing. Durham also hates pompey and always goes on about how they cheated. ITV have got it all wrong. Sky have got it all right. I still can't believe I actually like Gary Neville now. (Although I think they still haven't managed to replace Andy Gray as co-commentator)
