  1. Is he ginger or blonde? If ginger we can use the old Michael Svensson chant.
  2. Don't be so silly. That doesn't mention the skates in any way.... "They sign nobody's, We sign Ronald Koooeman, Ronald Koooeman" "He's not from Italy, He bloody hates pompey"
  3. Surprised a press conference hasn't been called yet...
  4. God she's annoying.
  5. For Koeman (or any other manager we ever have) to match or improve on MP, they need to get the players to play for him. The players loved MP and really got behind his ideas. Same needs to happen for Koeman.
  6. I've never really noticed 'Sotons east side' before, but he's/she's going on the WUM list.
  7. If I was a player such as Danny Ings, I'd insist on a buy out clause in my contract to allow me to move to Southampton if they became interested. If I was in Lallana's position, I'd do what he's doing. I'd have every intention of staying at Saints so long as the ambition was there to really push on. However if that wasn't there and a bigger club came in for me, I'd be off. Loyalty doesn't come into it when you want to earn and achieve as much as possible. So basically, my first choice would be to succeed and earn as much as I could at Southampton, if that wasn't possible, I'd look to move.

    Osvaldo

Pretty tight knit group of players we have. Osvaldos antics alienated him. He'll need to do a hell of a lot of apologising. Then it'll be a case of actions speak louder than words. He won't keep his cool.
  9. Danny Ings
  10. Really gutted he's gone. I hate Liverpool but now every time he's playing I'll be willing them on to get Rickie a goal. I'd probably even applaud if it was against us....
  11. I always said if we had another version of Rupert Lowe I'd not renew. Not due to loyalty but more of a one man protest. Well, when we finished 8th in 2003 we had an opportunity to step up. We didn't take it and sold Wayne Bridge. Now in 2014 we had a much better chance of actually achieving something and it looks like we going to cash in on the lot instead. I renewed yesterday. I'm very tempted to cancel that. Putting the prices up to then let the manager go and sell all the players is completely unacceptable and I don't want to be taken for a mug. Unfortunately I am a mug and will probably miss match day too much.
  12. £4m is robbery tbf.
  13. Lallana.
  14. What a true legend. I'm genuinely happy for the bloke as much as it hurts to lose him. Will always be welcome back. Hopefully he comes on against us so we can give him a clap. So many highlights in his time with us. 2 promotions, JPT, 2 goals against the skates an opening goal for us at Wembley, the England call up and scoring with his first touch, his first PL goal at Man City and so much more. A player I will tell my kids and grandkids about. Right up there with Le Tiss.
  15. Exactly. We keep hearing "we don't NEED to sell". Well if that's true and Shaw goes, there's certainly no excuse to cash in on anyone else. If we sell Shaw, we can get in a decent replacement and have plenty of change left over. Sell Lallana and we're left with a huge gap to fill.
  16. We 100% need to keep Lallana. 1. He's our captain 2. With Lambert leaving, team morale will be shocking. Keeping Lallana could save that. 3. He is the one that our academy boys can up look to. 4. Attracting any sort of manager or decent player will be harder when you've sold your best player. 5. We won't be able to replace him for the money we'll receive. 6. It will reinforce to our youngsters that SFC is only a stepping stone. Keep him and we may keep others. I'm pretty sure he's off though. If we end up selling Lallana, Shaw, Lambert, Lovren and Morgan, we're doomed.
  17. Never saw Rickie leaving, especially not now as I couldn't see a better club coming in for him. This is going to be a painful one to take. Will be odd seeing him in another teams kit and even worse seeing him play against us. To lose Lambert will affect not only our play but also our dressing room. He's a legend at the club and other players respect that. He will leave a huge hole. Good luck to him. I hope it works out. He deserves it.
  18. You wouldn't take Benitez?
  19. McClaren isn't the worst. Lots I'd rather have before him. I think we're unlikely to go for a manager who is already in a job.
  20. All this "there's no quotes" "it's not on either OS" is very naive. It's clearly been leaked by decent sources to get this much coverage. Much like just before Adkins and Cortese left.
  21. Would love Gary Neville!! More realistically, how's Pahars getting on?
  22. Thank god I'm in back to back meetings all day tomorrow. This place and twitter will be unbearable.
  23. Durham has had a soft spot for Rodriguez for a very long time.
  24. Goodness. Can you imagine?!
  25. Worth saving this article for a bit of Xmas reading.
