I hate Zombie movies. But really enjoyed WW Z. Although the 3D was nowhere near as impressive or effective as in Star Trek Into Darkness, almost seemed it was added as an afterthought.

Saw the ad for it yesterday, looked awesome, first one was the best Cartoon I've seen in ages. Can't wait to see the new one

Oh yeah oops forgot. That 70's night thing. ROFL We tried to get in the bar, they said, sorry, it's 70's night tonight you're too young. Looked round the curtain and the place WAS full, half of them had Oxygen tanks with them. Pretty sure I saw Bearsy's Grandad in there, he had a Rupert T shirt on
-
Aw thanks Tokes, that gives me the same warm fuzzy feeling that I got at the 70's night at AngelWitch at the weekend. You'll be pleased to know that I returned armed with new views and opinions on Life the Universe & Everything, yup I have a Golf in Vietnam Magazine to post a review of for you all, with a special article on Tiger's impact on the Country. I have also been to a Museum and it gave me a whole new insight into Forum Life that I will post up as soon as I finish downloading the 3,627 Holiday Snaps & get rid of the hangover from the flight home. ( I need the snaps to stop the mods giving me 8,000 Infractions.....) Yup, I am now an expert on Mongs, having lived amongst them for 4 days. Meanwhile, has Bearsy reviewed Dan Brown's latest epic? If not that's another one. So much to catch up on once I read the 600 + work emails and get the ice-pack off my nuts after a 3 week Honeymoon

Jeez, I bet you used to fancy Princess Anne as well.. Hiya everyone. Did you miss me? Nah didn't think so
-
Hi Sue, I didn't forget, tried the Tee Shirt shops here in BKK. No luck. Firstly everything these days is in those Gay Neon colours. Secondly in the old stocks, the only Tee Shirts with relevant logos they had left were No Money No Honey. Yeah they work, but then they've been wearing them down the road for the past 4 years.

Lol nah the gloating was on TMS ages ago. Mekong was last week, way past there now. It hit me here when you see 7 year old kids in Scouse shirts or with Lampard on their back, maybe one day Then you have another 80pence beer and reality comes flooding back

OK Summer hols coming up. Lots of us travelling on hols between now & the start of the season. Thought I'd pop in for a moment and start a thread for WTF or random conversations you have about Saints or our players while away from home. My starter for 10 was SO random I nearly fell overboard. On honeymoon, on a boat on the Mekong Delta. Tour Guide (Hugh is the best Vietnamese - English translation I can find) Hugh - You watch England Brazil? Me - No. Why your manager no pick Rickie Lambert, he best striker in England? Me - WTF? Hugh - or at least Jack Cork in Midfiled Me - wtf? You know Saints players? Hugh - of course Adam Lallana, why he have such a bad finish to the season? I thought he would be a huge star.. Me - wtf? Hugh - I watched first game Manchester City, Southampton scare them to death, I watch all games since.. Me - I am A Saints Fan.. Hugh - No way - why Morgan no play for France? You watch Man City game at St Mary's was amazing... Anyway, there is a great Vietnamese Tour Guide who showed us around Saigon who has, in the space of a season become a bonkers Saints fan. Anyone else has a weird moment in somewhere obscure like Newquay or something, stick it up here. I'm off back to do some honeymooning stuff. See ya'll in a couple of weeks when I get proper innernet again

Lolz So here is the deal on the cake. We get told there is this Dude in Krakow who makes like AWESOME cakes. We go see him, turns out his thing is Mousse Cakes. We're like WTF? we walked farking miles to get here. Then he gets out the sample cakes and they are like WOW. So he explains he is some kind of Masterchef type Dude and his cakes are small and one for each table but his Gig is making the "Centrepiece" to hold "The Mousse Cake". I'm still like WTF? but I wanted Red & White Stripes Icing... He says no. It must be stuff that is part of your journey together. So I ask what you smoking Dude... Anyways we had some beers and said well, our bag is Karaoke (where we met), Dubai, Golf & The Saints, so if you want to design a Centrepiece it has to have all that in it. I'm kinda expecting an SMS cake with a Tiger in the middle or something So he went all Artistic on us and said I Have A Dream.. or somethings. By now I'm asking to try the cake HE'S eating... Anyways we turn up on the day and there it was... The ACTUAL Cake is resting on what is the Helicopter Landing Pad on the top of the Burj Al Arab. The Centrepiece (was) totally edible & made out of Icing sugar. FFS the guy EVEN found the SILVER badge & made it with Liquorice flavoured sugar ! The whole wedding party was doing a "How the hell they gonna cut the cake" thing all night - they never saw the Landing Pad! Anyways we were Gob Smacked. AND the CRAZY thing? It was 150 quid CHEAPER than having a normal Wedding Cake thing made. The ACTUAL Mousse cake was Prosseco & Elderberries.... It was yummmmmmmmy Oh and Tim? No. You want pics? Take your own in Dolls House in Soi Cowboy towards the end of June
-
Yup I even sneaked a Saints badge in when us Dubai Saints get hitched we do it proper like Oh and you'll hate the wheels I had to drive for the day Even I cannot believe we found this beauty... Was SOOOOOOOOO tempting to just head off on a Grand Tour Anyways Quiz night time
-
Why thanks Bearsy, it was a BLAST Yes I managed to get my Wood out And a Karaoke Mike But the MOSTEST awesome how the feck did you get away with that one was .... uploading as I type
-
Hmmm SA? Wonderful Country, so much to see and do IF you live long enough. The moment you get a nice set of wheels you'll become a target. The Country Manager where I used to work lived in a fortress yet was still car jacked at gunpoint twice and had two break-ins in one year. General thoughts. You will miss FAR more than you realise. It will take a long time to build a new circle of friends. At least in SA Or Aus you won't have a transient population like we do here. BUT from the moment you land you MUST try to get out, join any weird club you can, I joined a BSAC diving club and that helped me enourmously (only a couple of us left here now though) but Dining Clubs, enrol in some night classes. The first few months can be horrific. Dubai is a City with no Soul, at least other places aren't like that and there is a higher percentage of genuine people you can meet. For me it is the Friends, it is the simple things in life that get missed. You'll LOVE getting away from Z list Celebs, Political Bullsh1t, The Media, The Weather, Chavs & The Benefits Culture Classes BUT, at the end of the day you'll HATE the fact it will cost you $1000 to go to watch a Saints game. Just don't get your head blown off for $50 and a bag of shopping. IF you have doubts, just ask your wife how she would feel IF that happened to you... It is really common in many parts of SA
-
I voted yes. I've been back from my wedding trip for almost 24 hours now and has he even ASKED how it all went? Not even a question about the Cake. Not even some quip about "I bet Phil managed to get a golf story into his wedding somehow" Waste of space, get him out so we can start to rely on someone else to give us amusement. How is Turkish these days? Did I see him at the cricket yesterday in his Superhero Costume?
-
A fair point. For us fans there has to have been a story between Next Gen & the trip back to save the first contact and Enterprise, OR between Enterprise & Kirk et al. BUT for the non fans that have seen the reboots, they love them and they have made money, which at the end of the day is the whole point. OK on the flights to my wedding & back watched... The Last Stand - Arnie's new movie. Total garbage and rehash of a zillion other films, but strangely comforting for all that and not taking itself too seriously. Will be an OK watch on Sky when it comes around instead of The Food Network. A Good Day to Die Hard. Look this franchise really has gone too far now. Sorry but enough. Mind you HOW many cars do they trash in t he Opening Chase? That alone saved it from being a proper Epic Fail and there were entertaining moments. But with John now making cameo guest appearances on Top Gear as himself in Kia Cee'd "ads" then it really IS time to call it a day
-
Are England modelling our new kit at The Rose Bowl today?
-
Ah yes, but this was a WTF OMG cake. And NOBODY worked out the Twist..... How many people in history have actually got away with having a Southampton FC Badge on their cake? And still made it past the wedding night?
-
It was ALL about the cake...... & Eating it
-
Don't worry. You've got the D_P Wedding thread to come. That'll get pretty raucous
-
Have you missed me? Oh. Oh well sod it, back off into no wifi land again then. Will bore you all next week instead
