  1. Puncheon on the left Lallana on the right by the sound of it
  2. Euell gets booed
  3. Phew, Saintsplayer is online covering the game. Had a bit of worry there in case they decided to go all quiet. Ex Saints Attack vs our 2nd Choice CB's. Could be fun
  4. Blimey Our bench looks useful Then you see Tommy get's to warm it
  5. Will be interesting to see if Puncheon starts on the left as he did for Millwall.
  6. Looks like WHU are going to spend Ben Haim's wages on a real player - Bridgey
  7. Nah. We've seen how time and circumstances can change unexpectedly and we could get some idiot deciding Arsenal's version of Tommy Forecast is worth the remaining 5mil.. 10 mil cash and 25 % sell on clause. (OK as it is Arsenal they can pay in installments over 12 months.) BUT, it is still 6 months too early for AoC career wise. He could get injured he could take the money. What he won't get is any first team football for another 6 months or so, he is NOT ready for PL football yet, he's only just becoming a consistent 60 minute performer for us.
  8. So the big merry-go-round begins. Where will Woy end up? WHU or Villa? Will Big Sam have to retire from punditry down here in the Sun and come back to a real job? Dalgleish hasn't managed in a decade and wasn't that successful last time he tried. Deserve what they get, but let's face it, signing Konchesky wasn't the brightest of starts
  9. Hmm, many blame him for many things, but somehow I really cannot see NC accepting a pay by installments deal from the few up the road. He hasn't been here THAT long TBF but I think he may just have noticed they are not the most reliable of payers.
  10. So, back on topic, anyone heard the squad for today's game? Is he in it? Will we see the emergence of Pulis for his first start?
  11. But completely UNAVAILABLE for us stuck overseas. Unless Saints Player is running today. Anyone know?
  12. Lol, had an enjoyable day off scanning all the Video Diaries and stuff. The Aussies didn't have a chance, we could have beaten them Blindfolded.... FACT KP doing a Jackass style Blindfolded Cricket skit
  13. Don't worry, it will no doubt get worse. Following from Hamster "inventing" the new Adam Lallana song on the 4.5 year contract thread based on the Mitchell Johnson song, you can now no doubt look forward to the Northam performing the Sprinkler Dance en masse.....
  14. Football has changed so much since I was a lad. That Hull thing is just soooooo menacing, Mauled by The Tigers, doesn't that just freak you out in comparison to what seemed like 25,000 Millwall fans screaming You're gonna get your fcking heads kicked in.
  15. Ah yeah THAT was it Post a teaser and get mugs to send you their money. Well dug out Crabby. The release date gets delayed more often than a Poopey CVA payment
  16. I lost track, I have tried not to read the Snail voluntarily as they more than anyone were instrumental in getting the dregs of Middle England to move down here in the past 5 years and tell us why they were making so much money out of property Dahrling, before they decided to go the other way and tell everyone we are all nasty evil people. Heck they change their line more often than Mitchell Johnson Is this one about the Millions of Dead Fish in Chesapeake Bay or about the Hundreds of Dead Turtle Doves in Italy? I blame Piers Morgan, those early batches were mown down by Yanks trying to find ways to flee the country before he started his chat show over there Ah here it was, the latest link to Italy http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/8246678/More-than-1000-turtle-doves-fall-from-the-sky-in-Italy-in-latest-mass-bird-death-case.html
  17. Awesome news. Think it calls for a WOOT!
  18. Dear Mr Blatter, Having lived and worked in the Middle East for 17 years, may I just point out one minor error that Important People in Important Jobs in "The rest of the World" have been making since the year dot? It is such a small and insignificant point but it is amazing how arrogant idiots keep making the same mistake. You never, ever, EVER try and tell an Arab what to do. It is a "Manhood" issue. It is exactly the same issue that makes you go all aggressive whenever somebody suggests that perhaps you and your cronies harm global football as much as improve it. The Qatari's bid for a Summer event. You ain't gonna find life very easy TELLING them to have it in the Winter. Perhaps you could have thought of this issue first? Or did Barcelona need the Sponsorship money? Yours D_P
  19. Not to mention "The close relative of the Club Doctor" Who also got a pretty big kick out the door of a plane as I recall Let's face it, not that many of our fans would recognise Les Reed sat next to them in a hotel lobby even if he had a training kit on
  20. Dear Corpy. You were insolvent in the summer of 09. Your loan was called in because Sasha was taking his toys home with him. You had a fire sale and yet still kept hugely expensive players on the books. Kitsons wages of 21k a week would have paid for 5 Lloyd James. Utaka's 80k would have brought you 2 or 3 good young potential players from the lower leagues who could have done a job in the PL. And yet you didn't cut to the bone, you didn't try an new strategy of finding bargain basement players you tried to live the dream. Storrie teller was convinced he'd pulled a rabbit out the hat by getting the ex Man City owner back into football and believed he could find a loophole around the FAPP so he got a (barely) credible mug to front for him. Why didn't the cut backs happen in that summer? Because Storrie teller was trying to pull a fast one. Don't blame JUST Chanrai. I bet the sewerage system in Hayling Island got flooded out when people started to dig in to wich stone Fahim was supposed to lift up to find the new batch of potentially dirty money. Fahim was left looking the fool he was, Storrie's attempt at putting up a front was exposed and suddenly the transfer window has gone and you have a solvency issue. Chanrai may be the worst of many things that have happened to you, but he has managed to achieve one thing you idiots still don't understand. He's kept you cheating bstds in the NPC and on life support in case another mug can be found. And yet you all turn on him. You could have made a go of it, you could have played the sympathy and loanee card and had football backing you to recover some dignity back at the start of 09/10 season, but oh no, you all believed the Storrie, hook line and gloating on here about him being at a game while we were in admin sinker
  21. Just careful with that Sue. The ending of your first sentence is fine, but as many know I still have the one bugbear that we don't actually know the mechanism in which ML financed us. It was a questioned asked by Solent that I sent in and it was avoided. I have no reason to believe that we are anything other than financially secure, but as there are a myriad of ways that people can invest in lend to or guarantee finance to a business, I still take the opinion that as fans until we know the full details we should just be a tad careful in our potential "gloating". We know where it has come from and it ain't dodgy. That is 99% of all we need to know. But that 1% of how could mean one day we get made to look stupid for not at least asking how it was done. (ie something we blame the skates about)
  22. Lest we forget some of the other gems they didn't bother to google all through their magical march back to Wembley http://en.news.maktoob.com/20090000379626/PFC_pray_for_Faraj_as_Fahim_fails_to_deliver/Article.htm http://en.news.maktoob.com/20090000005464/_I_have_the_money_-Fahim/Article.htm http://en.news.maktoob.com/20090000005547/Beleaguered_Fahim_replaced_as_Hydra_CEO/Article.htm This is the same guy arrested on his return to the UAE from his Chess trip for dodgy property dealings. Strangely, since that moment he's completely vanished from the radar and the media searches for him down here
  23. Don't worry Crabby, it's shotgun marketing for the new movie due out soon about the Nazi base on the Dark Side of the Moon and them invading. They have been really cute with the work, spoilers and "likely looking" concepts coming up for a good couple of years. I saw the original web site about 9 months ago and you could contribute ideas and the like. Funky but will likely crash and burn at the box office and no I'm damned if I can remember what it was called.
  24. There are loads of potential buyers out there. Just that they all made money, which takes more than two braincells. Chinny's problem is simple. He is trying to sell Vapourware, and everyone who has looked so far has run away laughing. There isn't anything there to BUY!
  25. Professional Sport is as much in the mind as it is in the talent. We often hear about "giving that extra 5 or 10%. In the aftermath of our Ashes Series win, there have been a whole host of articles about the Team Spirit and value of "togetherness" and commonality of goals since the arrival of Andy Flower. How the coaches have been able to get each player to understand what they need to do for the team and to g et them to give that extra 5% and execute on the field of play. Almost everyone of those articles mentions how valuable Paul Collingwood has been in keeping that positive spirit alive, and how Graham Swann has contributed. Equally the articles mention those who "sniped from the sidelines" or "those that didn't get with the program. Specifically mentioning the names of Owais Shah and Steve Harminson in one, and pointing out very clearly that they were discarded or have retiired, and that unity of spirit is now the dominant force in what England have achieved (as well as the Aussies being rubbish). The point being that togetherness, and mental toughness are critical parts of building a successful team. Just one person sniping from the sidelines after a tough day or at the wrong moment can start to unravel the whole mental approach. Look at this forum, there are Happy Clappys and there are the Manic Depressives. Does anyone honestly believe that a word in the ear is going to change the mentality of anyone in the extremes of each camp? And yet many believe that it is the Manager's job to do that to sort our Puncheon. The management will have a go, they will make the effort, (maybe they have and it hasn't worked. maybe they have and it WILL work) but at the end of the day, if someone is a complete misfit and damages what you are trying to BUILD for the rest of the team then they HAVE to go. On here they eventually get themselves banned. in the cricket team they've been left to rot in their Counties. For us, I think the chance that Puncheon will change his spots is as likely as the ICC deciding that England cheated by practising too hard and using technology and hence awarding the Ashes back to the Aussies tomorrow morning. If only "careful man management" could sort out the world's psycho/sociopaths and plain simple whingers we could all live in cloud cuckoo land. JP talented footballer, but nutjob. There are better out there, let's con someone into giving us some dosh to get a team player in who knows when to pass and how to shoot.
