And allegedly quieter than the one here when JT was staying

A different thing we could have learnt from this thread. "Shrek" has alleged marital relationship issues and whisks his missus away to Dubai JT had alleged marital relationship issues and whisks his missus away to Dubai Bet Fonte's missus is hacked off she's only going to Barcelona instead of Umm Qasr Hotel. Oh sorry, I didn't make any implication or association there, I was only comparing the lot of the poor lowly paid L1 star versus the PL heroes, honest

Possible indications that we have signed a player on loan and meant to keep him if he did well for us. Now which thread was that moan in? Good news on the extension, hope he keeps it going and earns a full transfer to us the day after the loan runs out. Just what we needed to add to MS & DH to keep things boiling in the centre of the park

Interesting. Some observations. The club had it's bank overdraft limit withdrawn unexpectedly. Within days of the club going into admin, the Council were making noises about buying the stadium and previous names associated with previous (not RL) shareholders were making noises about making a bid (the figure I recall was around 4million to take the club forwards) Real bids arrived on Frys' desk. Noises continued. Pinnacle arrived in exclusivity and vanished the day after a conference call was held with serious names in football Pinnacle messed up, Marcus arrived and "noises were heard again" We then have regular attacks of noise coming in from leftfield and beyond. I have a simple response - GO AWAY YOU PETTY LITTLE POWER HUNGRY FOOLS I've said it before NC is a ****, but he is OUR ****. Others have said similar. He is focused on winning and on success, IF he takes us to the Champions League he will no doubt pocket enough money to never have to work again. Personally - after the absolute fecking unmitigated disaster that the noises and the others and the Dark Lord made - I don't fecking care. For the first time in ages I have a winning team. Noisemakers are used by Submarines - would love to be able to tie the muppets making it around us to the outside of TDD's bucket when it next goes down

Jeez, must get the lighting in the office sorted out so I can actually read the letters on the keyboard. Oh and forgot to add IMHO to the above

Lambert is no longer playing up front. That is the reason he isn't scoring so much from free play. Having watched tow games and spoken to my mates who've been to more and reading posters who have been at games, we are NOT playing 4-4-fecking-2. We are playing 4-4-bigish gap-1-smallish gap-1. Yes of course he is still techinally playing up front, but it is Barnard who is pushed up onto the "shoulders" of the CB's with Rickie playing a yard or two behind. (ie instead of the two forwards playing "alongside" eash other, they play in a 1-1 shape. The effect is to pull the defence around and again creates spaces for the MF to exploit. The net effect is that Rickie is always a half a yard behind the play IF the ball has gone straigh through to Barnard, BUT as I saw, it means that he is also in more space when he does get the ball played to him and his hold up play means it is an easier shorter lay off to the supporting MF. His touch and effort did seem down the first game I saw but a few weeks later he was back to what I would say was 75% of the Rickie I saw at Wembley. he is no longer the main "target" man, but I can see what they are trying to do and why. I think the space it leaves to Barnard allows him to be a far greater pain in the ass to the CB's. It may cut down his goals for a while as he isn't likely to get into the 6 yard box quite as offten as before, BUT I think it gives the team a better shape and stopps a lot of the rubbish aimless passing the ball square near the opposition box that I seemed to see last season when I got back or saw it on telly. He isn't 100% and I think something happened or a lifestyle moment came to him during the Close Season, but he has a role to play now and will as others have said get into the 20+goal range

So we are still playing in 3rd Gear (Daggers commentators at half time) yet we are winning and moving up the League. Still clearly work to do. But what a change being a Saints fan these days. Was looking at The Match Thread and thinking back to the times spent listening on-line in what now seem like the grim dark days of our "stay" in the CCC. Must be many out there who are struggling to come to terms with being HAPPY after a game these days. But isn't it also great to dream of what may happen IF we actually start performing to our ability as a team. Still, after so many years, part of me thinks I should simply sit and wait for it to go wrong..... But right now. Fanbloodytastic

According to Daggers we are only in 3rd gear They are "Wow look where we are playing football" Need to get a handle on Oxo. And Phil is retiring gracefully to dream of Energy Efficiency performance metrics for DataCenters in areas prone to Tropical Cyclones...... OK GF went - OK off to bed to dream of Nuns with great bazoomas -

Late on parade, sorry. Been working like a nut today for a change. Feel like Illingsworth, TV & Press interviews and giving my opinions...... Shame it was about Green IT..... Still on air just in time to miss the goal, just hope we put in a performance as I am shattered. It really isn't easy talking sh1t for 7 hours... -
Yeah right, and Turkeys will vote for Christmas... All those FIFA VVIP's - simple choice - be wined and dined and fawned upon across Russia or Spain & Portugal and be revered as the Demi-Gods they believe themselves to be, or to be stalked mercilessly, bugged web cammed and stitched up by the likes of the fake Sheikhs. No brainer, check your visa requirements for Russia. As for WHETHER they should investigate or not - well - it's the "British" thing to do - same way they investigated that arms deal with Saudi - and led to the Yanks getting their new US$60billion contract. It's great to have high moral standards, but tell that to the families who are put out of work because of it. And anyway - who IS supposed to uphold moral standards? MP's? The Catholic Church? PCFC? The FA (and Lord Triesman)? It is a very sad fact of life that just about EVERYBODY is corrupt (it simply comes down to whether they think they can get away with it)

France is God's country. Just a damned shame he had a sense of humour and filled it with French people. Yorkshire, yeah right

The parachutist landed in Shirley - HTH The Police Dog incident is now no longer a subject for discussion as I bumped into Tom Cruise at The Seaview last night (he's filming Mission Impossible 4 down here go Google) and he wants to do a deal to buy the rights to the Movie. He already thinks he can get George Clooney to play the Copper. He bought into the whole tortured soul stressed at work background to the idea. Deal should go through but I have to wait for EoA to get off nightshifts as he has to do the whole sceenwriting precis thing before we can sign the whole deal up. Anyway Tom was upset that I turned down the chance of a major role in the movie (he saw my screen test in The Forum Match Interview Video) - he wanted me to abseil down the Burj Khalifa while sipping a Bullfrog and shooting the bad guys in their Huey Chopper. Shame, because as I told him, I simply couldn't miss the the Saintsplayer coverage of the County game Saturday afternoon and Tom couldn't reschedule his Chopper (although that didn't seem to phase the Chinese Takeaway crew in The Seaview for some reason)
