Scientists' 'New Discovery' About Moon's Surface
dubai_phil replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Lounge
Yep, but his problem was he said it was down to aliens, when everyone knows it was time travellers trying to stop the Large Hadron thingy blowing up -
I liked this from the Yahoo txt commentary

Being cynical this was so obviously going to happen. The Target culture of the old regime gave the OB a perfect opportunity for what they saw as easy numbers. Anyone with an ounce of logic would understand that at a high risk match the away fans NEED to be kept in while the home fans disperse, I joked earlier about laying in wait and fights across the City which COULD have happened, but the critical point is still this - no logical statement from the OB as to why they allowed the away fans out at the same time. If they THOUGHT the fence had the problem solved then why hasn't the architect of THAt idea been sacked? There is still not ANY justification for what the idiots did that day, whether those in court were guilty of fence rattling on not, SOMEBODY did it and taking a step back would have been what any right minded person would (or should) have done. But deep down I will never be rid of the thought that someone felt they could earn a bonus cheque by some easy arrests.

Some days I bemoan the fact that I couldn't be ars3d to pay for a 3rd satellite subscription so miss the EPL & Internationals. But most days I think thank fook I don't have to watch that rubbish

The UAE Football Association said he didn't exist. The Saudi FA said he didn't exist. The Saudi Ministry of Sport said he doesn't exist. An Ali Al Faraj "in Saudi banking" was identified as a Customer Service representative at a MINIATURE Saudi bank with with 200 employees. A number of prominent Saudi Businessmen said he didn't exist. Next time you are in HSBC or Lloyds TSB go look at the help desk and see what their name plate or biz card gives as their job title D_P and all those sources also told you he didn't exist AND most of them told the media, and yet he STILL passed the FAPP. af - if you have a football club that you do not want anyone to look at for a few months while you Blancco the hard drives and shred the accounts, you will take whatever made up idea you think you can pull off

I think it has already descended into a disaster. July FFS? What is wrong with these people? I'm already bringing the (not English) GF back for Glasto at the start of June and NOW I have to bring her and all her fecking mates back to stand 800 people from the front in the Mall so they can all say they were there. Had a huge row when I tried to explain that a Royal Wedding is about sitting in a street of back to back terraced houses in the dark areas of ooop North and waving flags and eating Chicken Vol-au-Vents but oh no, I'm not understanding the whole once in a lifetime thing.... Ho hum better check the airmiles out, the freebie BA tickets will have run out by then Although, a groundswell of opinion is growing down here that we may get permission to hold a street party on Sheikh Zayed Road. Now THAT would be something worth seeing

Rubbish. My primary sauce made it completely clear that Rickie was fine until some idiot in the side informed him that there is a Saints Fans Forum. He signed up, read this place and has been seen on more than one occassion in public phone boxes - when pressing the redial number it answers with the Samaritans. It's all this place's fault My secondary sauce insists that he was fine until he met Granty & Alpine during the pre-season. Granty apparently told him that he needed to get into more wide attacking positions and when that wasn't possible should use his guru manager's advice and look to drop back in the hole. he then went to have a beer with Alps (allegedly)

They have GOT to be kidding! the very first comment after that article at least it's affordable and we're not cheating With awareness like that amongst their fans, I'm amazed they even have the ability to switch a computer on

You gotta love opinions, they can be so polarised. Half the forum wanted Puncheon out, he's gone and half are slitting their wrists at the news. Chill, we have cover, Lallana can play on the right as well as the left which leaves Richardson & Holmes as cover on the left for a few weeks.

All of the above :-) But not over Billy Jean King, Martina or Laura if that's alright with you

Ah just what was needed a nice tourist event to beat the gloom of the economy. Congrats to the couple and all that tinged with the experience to say - You FOOLS! And sympathy for her, she seems a nice chick and really doesn't deserve the nightmare world of Paparazzi that her life has and will become

ok, Natalie is stunning, yes I have met her, the down side is she just has such a nasal American Accent and. An unrelated fact according to a tour member after about 6 pints who may have been Laura Davies but really not sure allegedly, approx 65% of the Ladies PGA tour bat for the other side. BUT, on the sporting front, she has probably the weirdest golf swing you will ever see, sort of a dip drag hoick.... And MOST importantly, she should be issued with a health warning, when she hits a driver the whole wobbling resonance thing is going on in that tight dry-fit Polo shirt. But I'm afraid, for me it will always be Maria. Mind you Emma Cabrera-Bello is also a very fit sportswoman

OK basics It IS expensive living here. Simple basics - a pack of Iceland 1 pound sausages costs 4 pounds. A pint costs 6 quid Education is private only. Medical is private only Everything these days has |fees attached ie taxes. So IF the package is good, IF it includes Housing allowance (AED120,000 or more) IF it includes Family status (ie flight home per year) IF it includes Medical and IF it is a reputable or Multi-Natoinal company then these are NOT a problem and yes it is still a great place to live and bring up kids etc. The aholes of the boom and bling days have all gone and it is a lot better than the Daily Snail points out. Pay your fiver and PM for more advice or stick a not your normal mail address up and I'll give you some more info. At the end of the day, I came for 18 months in 1993. I'm still here and so is Eric, we miss a LOT of things about home but this place has been good to us and probably much more so than if we had stayed. The other half MAY need to get work though, she'll become a hyper expensive ornament otherwise (Jumeirah Janes) So in answer - still has the fantastic advantages to living and working - Yes

Hmm on the subject of Golfing ladies http://www.ladieseuropeantour.info/profiles/120738.htm Maria Verchenova..... Uncle Phil has a story there mind. so as she asked to dance with me (yes I have proof) (no I ain't posting my mug shot on here) she clearly cannot qualify as being Sexy, just blind

Who'd be an Aussie this winter eh? If they thought those two results were bad wait until the Cricket starts... Oh alright, yes I was just being frivolous, it's just a line being used to take the p1ss out of Aussie mates down here, not often we get the chance for a dig (see what I did there) at them
-
I assume the Chelsea Fans Forums are full of Ancelotti out threads after their result at Sunderland today

Was out & about last night & saw snippets of the rugby. Saw the result & reports & at 1:00a.m. youngset & myself said ' meh, we'll watch a few minutes before bed time. An hour & a half later we were rocking around the lounge. What an amazing performance. Any English sports fan should have had a smirk on their face today. Anyone who thought England would sneak a victory would have been derided as a loony before the game but to win by a RECORD margin........... That game of Rugby was International Professional Sport at it's best. Well done to the guys in Anthracite. So good they showed it 3 more times today & I enjoyed two of them

Alan Ball vs Coventry in the 5-5 draw I am still convinced he hit it from inside the centre circle after taking two steps after getting the ball from the restart
-
Not that I can be @rsed to trawl through some of the build up threads, but it would be an interesting nerdy exercise to see how many of the outspoken critics after the game were the same ones demanding a change in tactics or an experiment with differing formations. There is a simple reality here. In our last two away games we have started VERY slowly, lost one and had a roaring comeback in the other. The ONLY way I would have an issue with NA is if he had NOT tried something different yesterday, as CLEARLY in the previous two games there was something not right. You cannot blame the manager if players make stupid mistakes, after all HE CANNOT BUY ANYONE until January so has to use what he was left with. Maybe they are good players technically who are simply THICK when it comes to the task of marking players. He tried something different, it didn't work. No need to slit wrists, just wait and see what happens next away game. Oh and FWIW I REALLY do not think it is entirely intelligent for an ITK'er to come onto this forum and announce our tactics and team selection to the opposition 24 hours before a game. yeah sure axe to grind and all that but it harms the build up and any element of tactical surprise, so do us a favour and STFU

I assume Sir Alex Ferguson was fired this morning for lacklustre performances against Wolves & Villa

'fraid not, we were awful at it under AP as well.
