Carlisle 3 - 2 Saints - post match reaction.
dubai_phil replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Phew, close call, luckily I was stuck out in the middle of the Desert relying on txt updates from EoA. Not sure which the bigger disaster was in his household - the performance or running out of OSH. Started reading the post match thread but as Samaritans aren't online at the moment.... Will go read about the egg chasers instead -
No, not the footballer, but the disease. Seems you lot aren't getting out enough and when you DO see the sun, wrapping up in Factor 250 is doing you harm!. So the nimbynambypamby's tell you not to go out in the sun incase you get skin cancer and so instead that causes you lot to have your bones rot away instead. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8128781/Middle-class-children-suffering-rickets.html Obviously, this isn't a problem up the M27.. there ain't no Middle Class kids up there

I trust that our stay at home google meisters are even now trawling the innerweb in order to ensure that the Match Thread has a suitable supply of pictures of Nuns with large chests eating Nando's

Can anyone answer a really important question that could affect our chances this afternoon? Did Connolly manage to get out the Treatment Room? Even coming from the bench he is quite possibly the best striker at the club

A son asked his mother the following question, "Mom, why are wedding dresses white?" The mother looks at her son and replies, "Son, this shows your friends and relatives that your bride is pure." The son thanks his mom and goes off to double-check this with his father, "Dad, why are wedding dresses white?" The father looks at his son in surprise and says, "Son, all household appliances come in white

Conversely, it means that those home fans who do wish to make trouble have time to get away from the ground and lie in ambush away from the main ranks of the Police. Damned if they do and damned if they don't Still, hopefully the end of the Target Culture will mean that the OB no longer need to set up ambushes like this so that they get their arrest and crime solved figures up. Or am I being too cynical? Oh and in no way condoning their actions - the term brainless springs to mind

Think what it means is that the end of the world is nigh, so make sure you get a few extra OSH's down your neck during the game. (but remember to txt me 1st half updates!) (I'll be heading for the Hills) -
I'd love to be able to help out tomorrow, but our Race to Dubai event build up starts tomorrow evening with all the briefings and planning meetings. Which is REALLY annoying as I had a whole week's worth of Naughty Nun googling all ready to go. But yes, we should do like the Sky Cricket crew - get Whispering Dave out on the pitch with his car keys giving us the info - long stud or those things that keep busting knees, wind problems for the keepers are our hero uberfans in the dry? Now all it needs is someone in the UK who can TEXT to Solent to tell them 1) Connect The PROPER cable so we get OUR game 2) Give us a pitch & conditions update just after kickoff. Mind you if they can't throw a switch properly what hope of them describing the weather?

In answer to those nutters in the UK. Just wanted to point out that a large number of shops over here in Dubai were selling Poppies for the past couple of weeks. As for Dune's post above, Muslim leaders DID address the issues. They arrested and harrassed the militants. It is just insane that YOU lot decided they were poor defenceless refugees being persecuted for their religious beliefs and gavce them Sanctuary, a platform to preach from and of course Benefits

Meh, everyone knows that's what happens when you drop a Warp Core close to an expanding singularity in a Deep Space Mining ship from Romulus that has come back in time. Don't these guys ever watch movies?

OK so an Axiom is something made up to make maths work? Over here it's a mobile phone company. Sounds so like Masterchef - Well Greg I just added an extra Axiom 'cos I know you love your puddings

Will look forward to the reply. While you are at it, can you just confirm that what the article is saying is that Fat Roman Catholic preachers have meant that my weekly budget for housekeeping doesn't add up?

Saints/Pardew fiasco to enter spotlight

So there it is in writing suitable for all the press and the lawyers to read it as it says. AP did it to Fonte's Misses. Followed by Fonte's Misses would like to work under Hoddle I so should have been a journo - such an easy game No, obviously those are not misspellings. To have spelt it correctly would have been to infer a libellous interpretation of another posters libellous interpretation of an allegation. -
60 + years of indiscriminate bombings tends to have a far bigger impact on signing up for the cause than some PR machine photgrpahs. Kids with limbs blown off by Russian Cluster bombs now see their kids blown up by Predator Drones. They don't need no political angle of being shown pictures. As I said before - go visit a refugee camp in Beirut, Swat or Syria. They don't have regular electricty let alone photographs. They sign up easy enough when a family member or a friend gets shot by whoever is invading which piece of desert this week

Remarkable Co-incidence. I happened across this article only today which should answer your query regarding complex equations. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/8118823/Large-cardinals-maths-shaken-by-the-unprovable.html If someone else could actually explain what the heck it was on about I would be grateful I though infinity was infinity, not an infinite number of infinities of infinite sizes

Saints/Pardew fiasco to enter spotlight

But that is the point. I firmly believe that there ARE elements outside the club (and I don't now think that LB is one of them) who DO mean harm to the club for their own personal gain. The club stand to gain nothing from the story coming out. The players stand to gain nothing from the story coming out. AP almost certainly stands to gain nothing from the story coming out. So, the obvious question is who DOES benefit? LB believes NC is thick as well as being our own ****. I don't think anyone can be this stupid. One day, they will make a mistake and can be named and shamed, odd fragments of their fingerprints keep appearing. -
Here's (co-incidentally) a very good Torygraph article http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/praveenswami/100063118/what-george-bushs-critics-will-never-understand-torture-is-part-of-the-language-of-war/ On very key point that he makes (and is alluded to in posts here) there is a VERY big difference between "Torturing a suspect to gain information" and letting lose a bunch of nasties like those Yanks at Abu Graith to ABUSE prisoners. Perhaps as the article alludes to, there SHOULD be laws permitting torture but with very clear "guidelines" and responsibilities. Trying to sweep it under the carpet as happens today gives free reign to those on "The side of Right" to abuses.

ICC ain't as bad as allegedly Fifa to be fair But then you have that lad from Essex wasn't it And you have the whole IPL Lalit Modi issue So not totally at the heart but still pretty much close to it all -
The land would then belong to whom? Could be a win win gamble TBH

The simple answer to that is - do you stop a stampede of Elephants coming your way by using morals? Or do you stop them? You simply cannot ignore them. The Nutters don't HAVE any standards, that is the whole point. They don't even have an agenda. They are simply poor deluded fools who have been conned into blowing themselves up to kill Infidels. The CHANCES to win over hearts and minds have been lost time and time again. Iraq - The idiots had NO idea what to do IF they won. Afghanistan has known nothing but warfare since the days of the Thin Red Line and the Khyber Pass. The fanatical preachers were given every possible platform to spread their poison by woolly haired liberals who used "The Race" card to build their own careers in the "Race Relations" industry. The simple fact is that years of complete ignorance by amongst other The West has allowed a cancer to enter into global society. The "tree-hugging" let's all be friends attitude and taking the moral high ground simply will not make the problem go away. How many caves are there around the world? You cannot invade all of them at the same time in a nice professional orderly Geneva Convention manner. The whole debate is always flawed. Nobody has really ever sat down and asked What do these people want? What motivates them? How do we ACTUALLY take away their mandate? You cannot, simply because the Nutters BELIEVE that THEY have the moral high ground. You WILL all live in mud huts because their God demands it. Game over every time.

GF is from Krakow, went for the first time in July. Loved it. Needs a good two days of walking to see all of it, the old Walled City around the main square but also down to the old Jewish area and the ghetto (forget what they call it), and the Castle is a good few hours (get there early for tickets to get inside many of the parts0 Auschwitz is a trip everyone should make at least once in their lives and make the effort to spend the time reading the many exhibits on the walls of the Dormitory blocks (You don't really need a tour guide - that sort of takes the whole thing to the wrong level IMHO) The main square in Krakow is great in the evenings watching the world go by and the beer Zwicky as they say is great and cheap. I also really enjoyed the Salt Mines much more than I expected - make sure you have your camera gear in full technical operation mode - pointing and shooting won't work ISO 1000 for the Cathedral to do it justice! Zacopane was where everyone told us to go but we had some problems that day with the motor and missed out - next time. There is an excellent Bus & Tram system for getting around the City. I have NO idea how it all worked or how to catch things to places but then I had my interpreter with me so was fine! BUT it is worth researching in English before you go as if you CAN use it will save a fortune in taxi fares or getting lost staring at weird Road signs in a rental car. As for getting there, Easyjet from Luton was our return, we went out from Stansted to Wrozlaw on RyancabinbagnazisAir and had some time there, was about a 3 hour drive between the two cities. At least I have plenty of garden space on offer for camping should England get to Euro 2012 and get a game in the area! Make sure you guzzle plenty of Zubrowka (with Apple juice) As for getting to Salt Mines & Auschwitz, there are LOADS of touts and travel Agents in the old town shopping area (especially just inside the City Gate) offering day trips to both locations. We had wheels and did both sites in one day

A theory? Chanrai is a money lender, that is how he got suckered into the whole sorry mess in the first place. Maybe, just maybe he sees that the more they spend, the more (at probably 20% interest) he makes. As long as that money is secured against future income or assets he could quite possibly have absolutely no interest at all in how the club is run. That leaves the guys in charge to pray for promotion and a new rich sucker or wealthy Russian Asylum seeker to be brought in No idea, just a theory

Mmmmmmmmmmmm Naaaandos................. Must be time for lunch. Think I'll have A bacon sandwich, something with real nutrients in it
