  1. Can't say I agree that the 2 things are anywhere near as bad. For what it's worth i laughed at the fire drill chant. Quite a few blokes looked pretty sheepish while they were trotting down the steps to the exit too. Good. Personally I think it's pretty pathetic leaving the ground on 85 minutes when your team is just about to inch closer to promotion back to the top flight ater one season in the Championship. But hey, they probably all had more important things to do than show the team some appreciation.
  2. Quality. As I said on another thread yesterday Cortese is also planning a big overhaul of the corporate sections should we get promoted. We really are going to have some of the best facilities going soon.
  3. If the sunshine is anything to go by the fairweather walk up for tomorrow will be quite big especially as we haven't played at home for 2 weeks and have won 2 away in that time. A lot of people will see this as an easy win game for a team that will appear to be waltzing towards promotion and one to which they can turn up to without the hassle of if being Pompey. Bear in mind that our next hame game after that is a tv evening game on 13th April, so another one that's not as suitable for our younger supporters. Reckon we'll see a lot of families there tomorrow. I'm lucky that my mate can't go so my son is borrowing his season ticket, but if I was a Dad looking for a game to take my kids to in the next few weeks it would without question be this one.
  4. Itchen corner is open, you can buy tickets online. Some sections are sold out, not many tickets left in the others either.
  5. If we are promoted Cortese is going full on with overhauling the corporate suits. Putting aside a lot of cash to upgrade it all apparently. I heard this earlier from a bloke near, but not in a pub.
  6. To be fair he probably doesn't feel any threat from Blackpool or Cardiff now. More likely is he's doing the same thing as me and looking at the table with more excitement than a man with a Nun Boobs fetish in the matchday thread and thinking "Blackpool are 15 points behind us with only 7 games left, I can't believe it, we only have to win 2 games and they can't catch us. Wahhoooo". Maybe he won't do the "wahhoooo" like me, but you know what I mean.
  7. We will sell more, one reason being the return of the corporates. Bear in mind this doesn't just mean people in the corporate section but also companies that buy 5 or 6 seats in the normal stands. I know a lot of firms did this when we were in the Premiership but got rid of most of them once we were relegated. Reckon we'll do in the region of 18k. The rumoured return of the installment plans will help too.
  8. Sorry, didn't read your post before replying. You are right. As I said in my post Paul Hayward was employed by the Observer (Guardian, same thing!) before moving to the Telegraph a few months ago.
  9. It was Paul Hayward who had a dig at the club earlier in the season for the same thing when he worked for the Observer. So this isn't the case of a different newspaper having problems with us as such, just the same person. I beleive it stemmed from the fact he wanted to write an article on the club but was denied access for whatever reason. Pretty hard to make judgements when we don't know the full circumstances.
  10. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Love it.
  11. 10 mins left. Come on Saints.
  12. YESsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  13. Millwall 3 up. Softening up Donny for the weekend. Leeds equalise.
  14. That's disgusting.
  15. Steeeeeeeeve
  16. I think we'll see Hammond on for Puncheon in a while and stick Cork on the right.
  17. Not sure that matters to their fans!
  18. I'll be letting some liquid out, not sure it will be from my eyes though.
  19. The best way to celebrate our promotion would be for Hull to hit the post? I reckon we should offer to give West Ham £20 for the 2 boats they've booked if they don't go up.
  20. Must have been the male nun that scored that for Posh!!
  21. Always loved Darren Ferguson!!!
  22. Mind you this no 2 posts in 30 seconds is a bit of a pain. As is the defaulting from caps to lower case. Next time I see Steve Grant I'll be refusing to listen to anything he says if it was within 30 seconds of his last comment and asking him to speak more quietly if he starts shouting during a game.
