  1. This is great. Hopefully the trial won't be prejudiced by all the comments on twitter. Oh, and nice borrowing of Charlie Brooker's joke there keithd!

My other half knew a bloke called Garen Tees.
  3. I was planning on going to Box Hill to see the cycling road race but now they've decided to charge for it I won't bother.
  4. Didn't all clubs have pretty bad attendances in the 80's though? Used to be plenty of empty seats at Old Trafford for example. Just looked through some Man Utd attendances from 1984. They go from +50k for bigger games down to mid 30k for ones against smaller teams etc. In fact they only got 31921 for the 0-0 against us. http://www.aboutmanutd.com/man-u-matches/24-04-1985-southampton.html And that season West Ham only rustled up 16674 supporters at Upton Park for the visit of Man Utd.
  5. Maybe something to do with extra-marital affairs? That or his £500 a day coke habit!
  6. Barton having a pop at Linekar on twitter today. Most amusing. Got to say I agree with him about Shearer too. Bit rich him having a go at Barton on MOTD when he has previous, like booting Neil Lennon in the head.
  7. Ed Sheeran. That bloke who makes insipid music bought by gullible 14 year old girls.
  8. At some grounds you can get away with it, at others they have stewards checking as people go through the turnstiles.
  9. Fair enough. Guess I should check my facts rather than believing what a Totton fan told me at the ground last week!
  10. £100 for a freak show, you must have too much money. I've seen Haye in much better fights than that at York Hall for £20. Saw him for £25 ringside when he lost to Carl Thompson in a barnstormer. But well, you carry on.
  11. Haye has been arsing about with the Kilitchkos for too long now. If he really wanted to fight Vitali he could have easily done it, as after his pathetic loss to Vladimir the older brother knew he'd cane Haye no problem. You lose all respect if you continually mouth off but don't back it up with action, which is exactly what Haye has done. As for other heavyweights there are a couple of vaguely credible opponents he could fight, but they wouldn't allow him to take the public for a ride and make so much money.
  12. You'll pay a fortune for a ticket. Doubt there would be many going for under £50, and then you'll be far away from the action. Add on beer, food, hotel, travel etc and you'll be looking at way north of £200 for a crap fight. If you have that sort of money to burn then fair enough, but don't then come on here next season using lack of finances as an excuse for your continual non-attendance at Saints games!
  13. My mate always used to take first dates to our local pub. It was called the Cock Inn. If they didn't get the hint there was no second date.
  14. I make it they are the same person and your avatar is the facial expression you pulled when releasing the money shot.
  15. Is this what Boris said when someone asked him wtf he was going on about when he called table tennis 'wiff-waff'.
  16. Which again was almost as bad as the bloke trying to buy the golden share of Maidstone when they were going bust, planning to relocate them to the North East and renaming the team the Newcastle Browns.
  17. What a joke. Anyone who pays to see this after Haye's last 2 PPV's clearly mental. I was a huge Haye fan, been to see him fight 5 times but have lost all respect for him over the past year. No doubt I'll hook up to an internet stream on the night but it's nothing more than a circus fight and serves no purpose other than to make them both a load of cash. Just a pity a bunch of gullible punters will line their pockets.
  18. Not sure, but the ex-chairman from Totton who sorted their ground and took them up 2 divisions has taken over at H&W. He's also just been joined by Totton's manager Stuart Ritchie. Therefore it looks unlikely the trust will have any hope of doing anything with them.
  19. I heard last night from someone who knows people at the club that Cortese's new goal is for us to get in the Champions League. The first part of the plan was to get back to the Premier League, now he wants bigger things. True or not I don't know but it's quite amusing in lieu of this thread!
  20. Start a mascot League so those of the home and away team can have half time competitions. A penalty shoot out, a race down the touchline etc. Could be pretty funny. Get a sponsor, winning mascot of the league gets 10k for chosen charity. Alternatively just bung the zip wire up. Then we can laugh at some fat blokes having a go, their shoulders straining as they struggle desperately to hold the weight because the heaviest thing they've lifted in the past 15 years is a tray of lagers.
  21. Dune is my Mum.
  22. Cheers for that, I'm going to watch the end. Went to the semi final on Tuesday, it was a cracking game. Thought about going up to Oxford today but didn't get round to it. Steve Basham playing for Oxford City.
  23. Sad news. He was a bit of a legend in my eyes.
  24. Royston Smith certainly taking defeat badly!
  25. Labour won Chipping Norton!! In your face Cameron, Brooks, Clarkson. Hahaha.
