  1. I enjoyed the League 1 rivalry, and the win at the Withdean was a fantastic day but they aren't really worth bothering with. Also I only know one Brighton fan and he's sound.
  2. Well especially in the summer when there's no football to discuss. Personally I just don't understand all the bickering and why people either get so angry about things that don't matter, or just keep repeating the same old crap day in day out.
  3. This place is extremely tiresome at times.
  4. Why does CB Fry seem so cross all the time, and especially over such trivial matters? I bet he'd never say half these things in a face to face conversation.
  5. Hatton is shot and has spent too much time out of the ring. Khan could make it a virtual shutout if he fights on the back foot and picks Hatton off. But there's always that chance with Khan's chin that he'll get caught and lose. It's what makes him such an exciting fighter. They'd both make an absolute fortune from it though.
  6. Jon Banerber? Wow, that would be some signing.
  7. Brilliant today again from the 2 Brits. I reckon Froome would have caught Valverde if he hadn't have decided/been told to wait for Wiggins. Good to hear Brad making noises that he'll ride for Froome next year, he has to really it's only fair. Is Wiggins now the best sportsman in the country? Loads of Olympic medals and barring a huge crash he'll be the first Briton to win the Tour de France. Epic stuff.
  8. I'd like to think Adkins plans years ahead. I heard an interview with Roberto Martinez when he said the same, possibly as much as 10 years ahead. The planning and future of a club is of huge importance. Built sensibly it should survive for years rather than fly high, crash and burn. So far our transfer policy seems sound as we are buying young players who can only improve and will command decent transfer fees in the future.
  9. He's much better than Richardson. Fantastic signing. You'd imagine we could send Butterfield out on loan now. No need for him to be knocking about Staplewood next season.
  10. They will now! I'd could be interested. Will definitely go to the game but haven't yet worked out how - and £19.50 is a bargain.
  11. Not sure that's true. Their new owners seem a bit mental. This article on a recent fans meeting makes for interesting reading. http://myonlycardiff.com/2012/06/27/cardiff-city-season-ticket-refund-meeting-270612/
  12. Broad was signed up for IPL but got injured. I'm surprised no one wanted Anderson though. Pieterson is being a right ****. He can play IPL until he's 40. Commit to tests now, quit international cricket at 36 or 37 and then rake in the cash from worldwide T20 competitions. He still earns cack loads of cash for his half a tournament in the IPL. No one will remember his IPL average but his test scores and performances will go down in the history books forever. We don't want to go down some ridiculous West Indies style route where no one really knows what forms of cricket half the players are available for. What needs to happen is that the IPL is shortened to a month and no tests are scheduled in that time. That way everyone will be happy. Until then those chasing the money will always choose IPL.
  13. My mate has just become the new manager at Paultons. I haven't played for years but when I did it was always the muni, 9 holes used to be free on a Leisure Card in the week.
  14. I have always sung "shoot the Pompey scum" rather than "kill". More of a kneecapping than straight out murder.
  15. So, "Unit 2, Industrial Estate, Horton Heath" and, "I'm off."
  16. Millar in the breakaway. This could stay away too as no one has any reason to chase it down. It would be incredible if he won a stage. If anyone hasn't read his book then do so, it's compelling.
  17. He is excellent and will only get better. Can't believe people haven't really seen him. He's been playing consistently well for Palace for a few seasons, how has this gone unnoticed??
  18. This is quality. Get him in. Get them both in.
  19. Froome would have taken a fair chunk of time out of Wiggins today if he'd attacked. He's immense. Next year Sky should make Wiggins ride for Froome. Only fair. Nest year will be incredible with Contador back, Andy Schleck...the 100th tour too I believe.
  20. That away stats table is interesting, and just goes to show how erratic every teams support is. I especially like Barsnley's vague gesture in 112 turning up at Palace. It also goes to show what a noddy club Reading are as their turnouts are wildy different. There's a few real pathetic eforts from them and we sold almost twice as many away tickets as they did last season.
  21. Massive day today. I'm locked into Eurosport already.
  22. Probably none, but we had decent turn outs at Leicester, Forest and Peterborough (although the last one should be a given as it was such a massive game)
  23. He was a couple of years below me at school. He left at 16, and a few years later was on Friends Reunited banging on about how he was on loan at Fulham "earning more money a week than any of you earn a year". Classy.
  24. This analysing of a laugh is a new low for this board. It did make me laugh, although in what way is up for you to speculate on.
  25. My mate is a season ticket holder at Palace and rates Zaha very highly and from what I've seen of him he looks quality. Granted he wasn't all that against us at Selhurst this season but Palace had nothing to play for and barely showed any interest in the game.
