Who Is The Worst Company you Have Had The Misfortune To Have To Deal With
The Cat replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
I've never had any problems with Virgin and I've been with them for years. Would have to say npower are pretty bad. They ballsed up our bill on more than one occassion and it took a long time and plenty of effort to get it sorted. I was glad when we left them. In a job related role it was Harrods. Having to deal with them was a complete nightmare. They were always adamant they were the most important company we dealt with, despite the fact they were buying piddly amounts of product from us compared to others. Constantly hassling us over every single little thing and very arrogant with it. -
A missed opportunity there if he didn't sit on Jeremy Kyle. Does Steve Bull still do his funny dance at the front of the Northam when we score?

Elvis did a version. It's on an album my mate has. I stuck it on while djing at our Xmas do one year because our boss was a skate. He wasn't happy. 40 seconds into this.

Haha, she looks very stupid in that interview. I wonder when politicians will learn that they'll go up in the public estimation if they just tell the truth?
-
I don't bother with first team friendlies anyway but that does seem expensive.
-
Reminds me of the Brits when they'll give a breakthrough act award to a band that's already released 3 albums.

I'm only guessing here, but I would imagine at the start of every financial year each station within the BBC get their own budget to spend. Therefore Radio 1 would have needed to make cut backs to their own budget to increase spending on this event unless their original budget was extended with it in mind. If Radio 1 were given extra money at the start of the year to help fund this then the cutbacks would have been from other strands of the BBC. For example the World Service which has been chopped significantly, or by ramping up the number of repeats on tv stations rather than making new shows. Whether it's value for money or not will be decided by listening and viewing figures and positive media coverage.

Maybe Radio 1 are paying for it out of their budget and have cut in other areas to increase the spending on the Big Weekend? Saw some of Jay-Z on tv last night, was quality apart from when MIA came on. She was terrible live which is a pity as she's written some amazing songs.

I guess they've been lucky this hasn't happened before. Over 50000 people descending on a place that could clearly never cope if it rained significantly, forcing families to sleep in their car and defacate by the roadside like feral dogs is just bang out of order. I've never been and wouldn't go either as I much prefer smaller festivals where it matters less if it turns into a mudbath. Some of the pictures of the site today look grim. Jack Cork is there, he was sending tweets about it earlier.

After reading the OP, I just turned to look at the Quick Crossword on the back of G2 (that's the Guardian's daily supplement for all our plebby tabloid readers) and the clue for 24 across on that is: Arrogant - Pompous (4, 3, 6) That's Saints related too as the answer is clearly "Dune and Alpine".
-
I just wipe my own cum all over my face. Must work as I'm really 53 but only look 27.
-
To be fair the arm does look a bit funny.
-
I mean, look at this. A work of genius and stunning live vocals to boot.
-
I'll let you off if you make him a song to the tune of Don't Stop Moving instead. It's by far the superior S Club track and clearly one of the out and out best pop tunes of the last 15 years.
-
Calling him J-Rod. I'm on a one man mission to stop it because it's horrific. His name is Jay Rodriguez. He is from Burnley, not the Bronx.
-
If you go to the back 10 rows or so I'm sure everyone will be stood up. To be fair you need to be quite near the back as otherwise the sun in your eyes can be quite annoying. I'd like to move over there but my mates want to stay in block 36 and have already renewed. I told them I will spend most games moaning at them that the atmosphere on the other side is better which will hopefully annoy them enough into moving the season after.
-
Oh ok I thought you were talking about their game against Man Utd when Beckford scored.
-
Sadly the tv companies don't give much thought to those who attend games. All they want from us is the atmosphere we make, and they know enough of us will go to preserve this anyway. The 1245 and 1715 Saturday games are for the armchair fans to watch either side of Jeff Stelling.

How Good Can Schneiderlin Get? And Who's Better: Schneiderlin or Cork?
The Cat replied to @BHiglett's topic in The Saints
I love Morgan. If I was a woman he'd be the one Saints player I'd want to molest. -
In his defence there Leeds is a much bigger city than Southampton, has more of a football history and better support, plus they were playing a fierce rival. Apart from that you are right. In The Kraken's defence I agree that Saturday televised games aren't that good especially if going to a Saints game at 3pm. If our game is away the televised fixtures are easily missed due to travelling. If at home we are normally in a crowded pub and not paying full attention.
-
Works out at about £6.5 million per game which is completely bonkers. £6.5 million to televise Wigan vs Stoke or West Brom vs Saints. Wow.
-
Will he now move to a club in the middle east because it's his spiritual home?

I'd love to see someone turn up at St Mary's wearing one of these next season: http://www.peggsandson.com/sale-s-s-12/tokyo-tailor-jacket-tiger.html
