I drink on 3 or 4 days of the week, but it will only be a bottle of beer or 2. At away games that I'm not driving to I'll have anything up to 10 pints throughout the day if I start early enough.

I don't have a problem with the BBC giving Katie Taylor loads of coverage. My reasoning behind this is that she is a very special talent and deserves to be in the limelight becaue of her continued dominance of her sport. The BBC give lots of coverage to plenty of other non GB athletes too.

Oh wow. She won. Managed to see her all fights today. 4 bouts, starting at 1030 this morning. 12 hours later she's Olympic Champion, aged 19. Incredible.

Jade Jones going for gold now in the taekwondo.

2 possible in Taekwondo (Jones, Stevenson) 2 to 4 in boxing (Agogo, Evans, Joshua, Campbell). Maybe Reade in the BMX but she's not favourite by any means. Not sure if there's anything else. Sadly I'm away this weekend so will be missing all the boxing finals. Damn.

Crash!!! That was epic. Lucky for the NZ guy who got to ride a whole heat by himself.

Here comes the BMX.

We are the famous Southampton and we're in the Movie

We are mentioned right at the start of this Orb track in a sample taken from radio5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsuCQ1v1bJI -
That was a joke decision. Surely they will appeal that. And the Cuban that beat Selby was the nuts. Solid defence and quick counters. Perfect amateur style.

He is pants. Was ok at first but is now struggling badly as he's probably run out of questions to ask the endless stream of athletes coming his way who have just won or lost and don't really want to be talking to him. I'm watching boxing. Cracking atmosphere, sounds like half of Ireland are in there supporting Michael Conlan who just won.

She rode BMX before switching to track, and then back to BMX. She fell in the last Olympics when it was a test event and then began riding track with Victoria Pendleton in the team sprint (helping the team to break the world record along the way) but was replaced by Jess Varnish. The BMX is brilliant to watch. I can't wait. Another amazing evening in the velodrome. Trott's win was just amazing. 2 golds in one Olympics makes her a legend already in my eyes. Her achievement equates to an athlete winning a decathlon/heptathlon and then going to win a relay. As for Hoy. Wow. And it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

None of them are sport as the horse is doing the running, jumping and prancing. I want to see humans exerting themselves, pushing their bodies to the limit, not horses! Still, well done to the horses and the people sat on them for winning gold.
-
Just watched that. Still none the wiser what they were meant to be doing, what a strange thing (not even sure I'd describe it as a sport)
-
They probably would have got a world record with her riding, however the other 3 have been consistently breaking it for the past 6 months or so. Regards the sickness I would hazard a guess that she's referring to Laura Trott who is sick after every race and most training sessions due to an acid reflux problem. Maybe Houvenaghal is overplaying this in the interview for the sympathy vote. She shouldn't have gone public like that. Can't say I heard any of the men's pursuit team moaning about being left out and there were plenty of them who could have ridden in that race and not affected our gold medal win.

Joshua wins 15-11. Get in.
-
He's knocked him down!! Brilliant. Come on!
-
3-1 after the first round and Joshua hurt Zhang. Should win this.
-
Just caught up on the cycling. Immense from Kenny and Trott. If anyone fancies some late night entertainment then Anthony Joshua is fighting the huge Chinese boxer Zhang in a minute. Anthony Ogogo earlier won through to the semis, so at least a bronze for him.
-
3rd after 2 events now for Trott. Looking good. She did very well to come out of that last race without losing much ground after an excellent last sprint.
-
20 point bonus for gaining a lap. Trott missed that break so will now have to limit her losses somehow.
-
They sprint every 10 laps, points given for each sprint. Winner is the person with most points at the end.

Pompey News trying to claim credit for Dani King's gold medal: Dani King, who used to train at Portsmouth’s Mountbatten Centre, took gold at the velodrome as one third of the women’s cycling pursuit team.

I know a bloke (he's not a friend I'll hasten to add!) whose daughter used to pinch his fags to sell at school. When he found out he made her eat a packet of them.

We got our golden postbox in Hamble today.

She won her first race. The second heat will be on in a bit.
