  1. I lived next door to her for about 10 years. Can't see I agree with many of her political views but she worked damned hard to get Maidstone United playing back in their own town, so credit due for that. As for Lydon on QT, he was good value for a bit but then became increasingly irritating and pointless. A bit like his music career really.
  2. Sorry. I promise to stop crapping in your gardens and will make sure to use the litter tray from now on.
  3. Yesterday I saw a huge fat bloater of a woman in the shop. Her basket consisted of a 22 bag multipack of Walkers, 3 sharing bags of chocolate, a fridge pack of coke, butter, cheese and 4 packets of biscuits. Maybe we should start weighing people when they enter a shop and limiting them to buying a certain amount of products depending on their weight?
  4. I just had some salt & vinegar Tyrells crisps with my lunch. Probably the best crisps in the world.
  5. Pity that is sounds guff. It's not like the club don't have access to all the footage and interviews they've built up on Saints player over the past few years. Wouldn't have taken much to cobble all that together into a decent package with a few extra interviews and a voice over.
  6. Imagine being a passenger in a car he was driving.
  7. I know the bloke who wrote this. I've already asked him what more could entice him back then 2 promotions, a Wembley final and some of the best football we've seen in years as I was also somewhat confused by his musings. He's played football every Saturday for years though so it would be pretty difficult for him to get to games unless they were midweek, although he only makes passing reference to it in the article. He's definitely a Saints fan though, born and bred in the city and lets face it there's plenty of them who don't ever go to games. As for WSC it's still easily the best football magazine out there, this was just an article on their website.
  8. Crazy stage today. Sagen is a beast. How can he sprint like that after climbing hills? Loads of crashes, Rojas abandoned and a few people lost time. Brilliant sport though, great to watch.
  9. I guess his resignation means he won't have to face the Treasury Select Committee tomorrow. Convenient coincidence?
  10. I need a new fridge freezer. Seems silly not to get a Liebherr one considering they are amongst the best you can get. Only problem is I'm after red & white striped one, not sure the new all red version will suit our kitchen.
  11. Loved that from Cav today. Having to negotiate the last few kilometers on his own reminded me of his world title win. He timed it perfectly.
  12. Just shows how ridiculous the transfer market is now. £4 million for a kid that's paid 20 minutes of professional football, and that might not even be enough.
  13. I've seen him a few times and been extremely impressed. He was excellent even when the Under 18's got dicked by Forest in the Youth Cup. Has very good touch and is a neat accurate passer. Good at dribbling and a quality delivery. Also reads the game well. To be fair he didn't do much in his one first team game, but he was played out of position for about 20 minutes in a tough game at Millwall.
  14. Great news. He'll have Neymar in his pocket if we play Brazil.
  15. god knows why..but I am seemingly getting a fuk load of spam messages on Saintsweb from this bloke always taking rubbish and wanting to make friends but now I have had to read almost 30k of his messages how the hell do you stop it..?
  16. So the taxpayers bail them out and then they go and shaft them again by fixing interest rates. Brilliant. It would be great to see some bankers in prison over this. The politicians (all of them) need to take the blame for the lack of banking regulations which has given the bankers powers to pretty much do what they want. Read something yesterday about Ed Balls going on a visit to an arm of an investment bank a few years ago. He asked the executive showing him around what job a particular group of bankers were doing and the executive didn't know. The advice about moving banks is the best. People will moan about certain banks screwing them over but then continue to give them their custom when all they need to do is fill in a form and move current accounts to co-op or a building society.
  17. I used to work in an office with 9 women. They were forever banging on about going on diets and would reguarly turn up for work with a healthy lunch consisting of fruit and yoghurt while proclaiming to the whole office "I'm being good today". This would generally last until a desperate lunchtime trip to the chippy or chinese, or 10 minutes after a boardmeeting had finished at which point they would hoover up all the left over pastries, crisps and sandwiches that were put in our kitchen. Most of them would then turn on me in disbelief that I could ignore all the free food, or refuse the chance of some chips. I continually told them that if you sit on your bum all day in an office you can't get way with shoving that sort of food into your gob or said bum will just get bigger and bigger. I left the job about 8 years ago and haven't seen any of them since. One of them got married recently and lo and behold the pictures on facebook confirmed they are all still eating far too much.
  18. Haha. I do actually eat quite a lot of fish, just had some mackeral for lunch.
  19. I love crisps and eat them most days. But I'm not fat because in general I eat healthy food and do plenty of exercise. However many people are just plain thick and will just eat and drink whatever they want with no regard to what they are stuffing into their face.
  20. Drove past one in Woolston earlier. It said "Go get another job" and a pizza box had been drawn on the blokes outstretched hand.
  21. Not just changing our heritage but adding a random "j" to our name too. Where will this madness end?
  22. Our away support will still be singing "yellows, yellows, yellows."
  23. Dartford's gound is nice. I also like the club house element to non league, plus the fact you can often drink your pint and smoke a cigarette while watching the game standing up.
  24. Jar Rodriguez - for the future. Are we putting him in the development squad? Good idea from the club but bad execution. The stadium clearly needs tarting up a bit but we can do better than this sort of cheesy corporate crap.
  25. Maidstone because I was born there. Get to about 5 games a season, more away games though especially the ones nearer to here which tend to be top of the A3/Surrey way. Will have to get to a home game soon though because they have a new ground and will be playing in Maidstone for the first time in 15 odd years. Seen Totton a few times too. Will go to more next season, especially midweek, as Saints have less games. For some reason I don't like Eastleigh (probably because I worked in the poxy place for too long) so don't go there. I also have a once a season stroll to the top of my road to watch Hamble. I like non league and would much rather go and watch a game live than sit at home watching a Premier or Champions League game on tv.
