  1. There's also a Megabus that leaves Newcastle at 0115 and gets into London at 0730 for £14. I'm flying from Bristol to Newcastle and staying with a mate up there. Cheaper and quicker than driving or getting the train up by myself. Hopefully we'll take 3000 up there, no doub we'll shift a few more tickets after winning last night.
  2. We'll win. Hopefully we'll be sharing the majority of the goals in another 8 goal thriller.
  3. Is Alpine a creation by the owners of Saints Web to increase their site traffic? They know as soon as he starts another ludicrous thread that the forum will suddenly jump into life and it won't take long to reach at least 3 pages. As far as I'm concerned the whole idea of this thread is just so ludicrous it's untrue. Maybe it would have made more sense if Alpine had suggested match fixing linked to illegal far eastern bookmakers as a team are clearly never going to throw a game just to annoy another on the faint hope that they might not get promoted even though they are still favourites to do so with 3 games to go.
  4. I'm not watching anymore of that.
  5. What the **** was that? Well done Brighton you ****s.
  6. I got quite excited reading that.
  7. I'd go for the second option. I always take that route when I need to go up the M1 for away games. The only problem with it is the number of roundabouts on the A43 which slow you down quite a bit. Don't bother with the M40 for 1 junction either, instead turn off the A34 just after the last set of services and take the road to Middleton Stoney. It comes out at the A43/M40 junction. I tend to find the queue to get on the M40 from A34 can be pretty long and this cuts it out completely.
  8. That's it. I'm bringing hundreds of Chrysanthemums and Gladiolas with me tomorrow to pass around the crowd while I sing "you're the one for me fatty" to Billy Sharp.
  9. Medway council have come up with one way of cutting Police bills for the Gillingham vs Swindon game. Ban all fans. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-17678341
  10. I recieved my tickets yesterday. The woman in the ticket office passed them through the window to me. I also parked on Britannia Road for free, thus saving any car parking charges and the £3 ticket tax. I win.
  11. Don't forget that there's a chance of rain on Friday evening. People won't want to be getting wet just for a game of football.
  12. Was getting tickets for the 2 Boro games earlier and a bloke at the other window (who is clearly less of a fan than me) was buying Reading. He was asking how many were left for the game and was told "about 500". There were only a few blocks with tickets still available. The front 4 rows of Block 3 were still free, so I'm not sure if that 500 includes Blocks 1 & 2 being open yet or not. Either way that does mean we are pretty close to selling out what with a couple of days to go and the walk up.
  13. Didn't hear that in Block V. Heard this 'we love you' song a few times which is always good. We love Southampton, we do We love Southampton, we do We love Southampton, we do Oh Southampton we love you
  14. The same Sam Hoskins that's on loan at Rotherham for the season and scored their winner on Friday?
  15. Totally gutted. We had that game and threw it away. Can't believe it. 5 points from 6 games against, Pompey, Bristol City and Doncaster. That's not good.
  16. Reminds me of the graffiti in the toilets of the Joiners. A Pompey fan had written "657 crew" under which a Saints fan had added "average attendence at Fratton Park". Used to make me chuckle every time I saw it, but then I'm easily pleased.
  17. Burley was so hammered he wouldn't have been able to smash anything apart from the whiskey glasses he was dropping.
  18. Strachan and Telfer.
  19. Maybe some of the gay footballers in our leagues imagine smashing their male managers?
  20. When did a PM become a DM?
  21. Thought we'd win that when Trott and Prior were going well, but one special bit of fielding and the whole game turned again. Brilliant match though and a timely reminder of just how good test cricket can be.
  22. Yes he improved but is still miles behind Hooiveld and Fonte in terms of quality. He gets bullied off the ball too easily, gets caught out of position too often and lacks the experience the others do. There's no way I'd play him in any of the remaining games unless we have a couple of injuries.
  23. Up - Us, Reading, Brighton. Want West Ham to stay down due to the ridiculous way they've chucked money around this season and because of Allardyce being a twunt. Also Reading and Brighton are dead easy away games, and it would be great to win at the Amex. Down - Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton. Wolves just because they are so bad this season and I'd like us to sign Jarvis. The other 2 because they are boring places to go and lack atmosphere. Wigan to stay up for the same reason as This Charming Man gave.
  24. highlights here http://www.crichotline.com/sri-lanka-vs-england-day-2-highlights-1st-test-2012/ It's ridiculous that no terrestrial channel has any highlights. There's always some on the internet though. Seems like someone makes up about 10-20 minutes of highlights for each session, and the fact they are up not long after play has finished is almost as impressive as Jimmy Anderson's bowling. Some terrible shots from our batsmen. Strauss, Pietersen and Trott especially. In fact Trott's dismissal is pretty damn funny, he must have felt like a right knob.
  25. We are going up and you are going down We are going up and you are going down etc etc
