  1. A girl I went to college with once stated Saints had the ugliest team in the world. Granted this was when we had Le Tiss and Dowie paying together, so even if the other 9 were all Brad Pitt lookalikes she'd have been right. Lundekvam was quite the anti-hunk too.

    Kingsland

We are the Kingsland, we'll do what we want.

    Kingsland

I'd like to see someone do that and then start ragging off at the kid, calling them a loser and making them cry. That's the sort of winning mentality we need.

    Kingsland

It's never going to work. The couple of times I've seen it the ball has always disappeared down the stairs into the concorse. If the Kingsland win do we all get a prize?
  5. I think he's too busy saving Scottish football!
  6. I'm all for having a few beers, standing, singing etc etc but that is just so lame. In fact I feel embarrassed for them. Nice to see Ravanelli pop up in that video too.
  7. The managerial merry-go round is quite depressing really. Neither Bruce or Curbishley seem any better than McCarthy. Maybe they should try and tempt that bloke from Southampton, he seems to be doing quite well.
  8. I used to like Oh Come All Ye Faithful at school just for the bit when it gets louder in the middle and you could get away with really shouting the last OH COME ALL YE FAITHFUL. Aside from that I find them all quite turgid and dull unless Sufjan Stevens is singing them.
  9. It's awful. Barely anyone with any artistic merit at all. Only watching it because my other half had it on when I came back from the gym. Now I have demolished 6 pancakes I'm turning over.
  10. Yeah, because lets face it there aren't any other festivals in the UK this summer.
  11. They won't, but if you are buying extra tickets get them in the Itchen corner, then just give your ST's to whoever the tickets were for and sit in Block 1-3 yourself.
  12. Maybe, but they are also busy. Editor or Producer tells someone to get a view from a Saints fan so they pick up contacts book and ring Nick. Job done. How they dress it up is down to them. Nick may not front an organisation that counts or even exists, yet people still know him and he does run the Ugly Inside. Quite often now you'll see a fan interviewed from a random club and it will be someone who just runs an online site. If there was an alternative Saints Supporters Association then maybe the media would amend their contacts book to incorporate them.
  13. This comes down to the fact that the media don't have a massive phoneback packed with numbers of different Saints fans. They probably only have him and Perry McMillian on the list, and I know whose opinion I'd rather hear!
  14. We just call it work experience these days!
  15. This is interesting too, a list of all Lords and MP's with vested interests or links with companies who will benefit from the new bill: http://socialinvestigations.blogspot.com/2012/02/nhs-privatisation-compilation-of.html
  16. No wonder he's being heckled, although I hope for their sake they weren't NHS staff after reading this blog about Cameron's ridiculous visit to a hospital in Newcastle last week: http://eoin-clarke.blogspot.com/2012/02/full-story-of-camerons-visit-to-nhs.html
  17. Dull really. Vitali never in any danger. Fair play to Chisora for putting up a fight but it was easy for Klit.
  18. For some reason I have quite been enjoying this recent internet spat. However what I'm unsure of is what you get out of it? If you believe these people to be 'mongs' who post on 'mong boards' why do you waste your time conversing with them? Just curious.
  19. Loved that. Apart from a few nervous moments in our box in the last 15 mins of the first half we were totally dominant. Thought Lallana was superb, Lee's goal was magnificent and great to see Chaplow getting a run out and improving his fitness. Took my 6 year old too. His 6th game, never seen Saints lose, only draw was the 2-2 vs Blackpool. He's now seen Saints score 17 and let in 3. At this rate when he gets a season ticket we'll be unstoppable.
  20. He was alright but no surprise to see him subbed especially with Puncheon on the bench. He played one woeful ball across the midfield which gave them the ball in a threatening position, but then Cork and Schneiderlin did the same.
  21. That was funny. Our fans were good tonight. Low roof helped, and we made a decent noise I thought.
  22. We were laughing at that too. Should have won that but we just didn't create enough clear cut chances and I think we needed to use other options rather than just diagonal balls to Lambert who was always well marked. Also what was the deal with getting out of the ground? Seemed to take forever from the back left of the away end. By the time we got back there the queue at Upton Park tube was almost as long as the Pompey Takeover thread. Driving back I heard Adkins say we should have had a penalty for handball, anyone notice that? Allardyce also saying they had a blatant one turned down in the first half.
  23. To me it seems that one of the reasons people get frustrated with Guly is his slowing down of play at times when they believe we should be charging up the field on the attack. However we don't really play that way. Mostly our tactics are set up to build pitch position and possession through certain phases of play that are clearly (well in my eyes anyway) worked at extensively on the training ground. It's a similar point to those who aren't happy about Morgan's sideways passing. There is a reason behind it. Yes on occassions they may miss incisive runs from a forward or winger and instead play a 10 yard square ball, but keeping possession is key to Adkins strategy. There's no point playing a pass that you aren't confident will work if you can retain the ball. Watch how the players move off the ball at certain times and it begins to make sense. Or at least it does to me anyway! It does make me chuckle when the crowd get on the teams back for retaining possession. It's not rugby, there's no law as to which way the ball has to be played. Forwards, backwards, sideways, it's all good as long as we have it.
  24. Here is a list of Redknapp's transfers at every club he's managed: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmOzhDdcSE4GdEQ1OThfZWRxM2VOOVRFQTdXWUFFWWc&hl=en#gid=0 Whether it's completely correct or not I have no idea, however it gives a good overview of just how many players he's been through over the years. Oh and in my opinion the bloke is a complete tool. I'm pretty ambiguous as to whether he gets the England job or not because I'm not that fussed about the national team as it is.
  25. Just how I'd have it although it seems weird not including Guly anywhere considering he's our second highest scorer. Maybe on the bench instead of Hammond? Stupid 5 subs rule.
