Last night I had a dream I was playing for Saints. (Is there a better dream to have?) Ball played through the between CB and LB, I raced to the byline, cut it back to Sharp who promptly hit a weak shot straight at the keeper. Fortunately Lambert followed up and banged it home. During the celebration I ruffled Sharp's hair and told him I thought he was supposed to be an expert finisher. Maybe this will happen on Saturday, although it does mean Adkins will have to pick me at right midfield.

Lets fix another poll - football league awards

Whittingham for me out of those goals. The Bradford one was great too, such a sweet strike. -
I was stopped going into Millwall on Saturday because I had a tiny frisbee in my pocket that my son had found at the park the day before. Steward told me I wouldn't be allowed in with it because it could be throw it on the pitch. I challenged him to even throw it 5 yards (it's a terrible frisbee that was probably free with a magazine) at which point his supervisor came over and said it was fine. The whole bottle top thing is ridiculous because a full bottle without a lid would still easily travel far enough to reach the pitch. Mind you that does remind me of the Pompey cup game at St Mary's in 2010. I was in Block 1 and saw a Pompey fan try to throw a bottle into the Saints fans only for him to mess it up completely and soak a skate a few rows away from him.

Last time I drove there (which was over 5 years ago) there was plenty of street parking. For a more up to date view see below. From here: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/birmingham_city/ There is a small car park directly outside the entrance to the away end, but availability of space for cars is determined by how many away coaches are expected as they park in the same car park, which may mean for certain games that there is no space available for cars at all. There is though plenty of street parking off the left hand side of the ring road. Either around the small park at the third island you cross or along the road next to and behind the BP garage before the fourth island. Bear in mind that if you arrive after 1.30pm these areas are likely to be already full. There are some local schools and firms that offer parking facilities for around £5.'

I saw a bloke at Blackburn away a few years ago wearing a Ben Dover jacket, which I thought was slightly strange. The daughter of one of the teaching assistants at my other halfs school got her baps out in Nuts or Zoo. Work collegues of her father plastered pictures of her all over his car.

My Nan is still in the business.

What's the rest of it called?

Not great first half, much better second half. Draw a fair result. My hands are cold.

It's horrible. Fake firework noises, Wayne Bridge's face on Big Ben's clock face. What?

When I was driving home 5live said Sordell to Bolton was progressing. Dunno if it was done in time though.

Makes me feel old when I ask someone at work if they remember a certain song (normally one from the mid 90's which I'd have been listening to in bars and clubs in my youth) only for me to realise they were a baby when it was released. Either that or discussing a footballer with them who they never saw play, for example Le Tissier. All they have is their parents stories and youtube compilations.

I'd imagine our wage offer (which I'd doubt would be £28k) comes backed with a huge payrise should we get promoted. And there's more chance of that happening here than at Leicester.
-
But really I'd go with what Appy said, although there are about 15 conceivable different midfield/striker formation possibilities.

So we took more there last season for a game in League 1 that was on tv.

He'll be a class act in a few years. Currently he's just a good defender but once he gets the rest of his game sorted he will be a top player. Brilliant yesterday, especially as he was alongside a LB who he'd never played with in that position before.

The 5th Round Draw - Bolton at home (if we beat Millwall!)
The Cat replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Not a bad draw. I did want Crawley or Stevenage away (new grounds) but happy with a lower Premiership team at home. -
Agree with that. Glad Puncheon got to start his first game back away from home as he'd probably have got some abuse from the more dim of our fans. It was terrible today though especially as it's a good ground for making a noise. Millwall were loud and they hardly had any fans there.
-
Yeah Bart did what he had to do well. Most of Millwall's shots were off target. Agree with pretty much everything said above. Martin was my man of the match.

Just ignore the people you don't like and read the bits you want to. No one is forcing you to look at every post so when you scroll down and see one written by one of these "mongs" simply skip over it. Ulitmately none of it matters though, it's just an internet forum.

If you could go out with a player in the current squad, who would it be?

I must remember to start this topic of conversation in the pub before tomorrow's game. -
House of the rising sun: He's come over to Southampton From the land of the rising sun His name is Tadanari Lee And when he scores we'll sing as one.

Hopefully someone will ask him if he's had a poo at St Mary's.
