It really isn't crap. Nowhere near as good as their other albums, but hardly crap. I'd reserve that adjective for the sort of guff that takes over the airwaves after the X Factor finishes. Having seen them live a few times I'd say they are a pretty damn good band. My favourite 'proper' bands are: Low Wilco Flaming Lips Radiohead My favourite artists are Global Communication, Burial, PJ Harvey, Aphex Twin, Autechre. Too many to mention really. I can't really say I have one overall favourite though, changes all the time.

Don't need to up our game in respect of numbers as we have been taking decent support everywhere this season. We do need to up it in how vocal and original we are though. Mind you I shouldn't complain as I never start songs these days and only join in with ones I like!

It's only worth buying a centre back now if a decent player becomes available at reasonable price as I think we have enough cover to last the season. Yes it's possible that Hooiveld and Fonte could both break a leg but as we've seen in the Premiership there are top clubs who don't have a wealth of talent in certain positions. I've seen Harlee Dean play a few times. Firstly as a midfielder and twice as a CB this pre season. Always hard to judge from those games (one of which was Eastleigh when we were 3 down in no time) but he appeared strong and composed. Decent on the ball for a CB which I guess is to be expected if he started as a midfielder. The reviews he's been getting at Brentford just go to show how much a player can benefit from regular playing time out on loan.

Is that you who pushes the trolly up and down the train desperate for someone to buy a cup of horrible tea and a biscuit for £12?

Great front cover too. Can't find an image of it online yet as it only plopped through the letterbox today, however it features a picture of a ponderous looking Redknapp with the strapline "NEXT ENGLAND MANAGER?" while Harry thinks "The jury's still out." Nice to see their cover from April 2010 is (Premier League aside) still relevant:

Decent draw. Both easy to get to and feature a day out on the beer in London. I thought it was more than 950 in that new stand at Dagenham, about 1300 or so? Seemed fairly big last time.

Camp here and watch it for free. http://www.eweleaze.co.uk/ We camped there last year and it's excellent. There's loads of room and you can have fires. It also has a private bay and would give you a fantastic view of the boats doing whatever they do..

Away to a ground I haven't been to, preferrably a league 2 or non league team.
-
My mate is going to that session too. I applied for loads and only ended up with tickets to the tennis. Should see some decent players as it's Number 1 court but I can't help but think the crowd will be full of those sort of people who like to wear Union Jack hats and turn up at Royal events on the Mall. I hope it rains.

Blackpool have a player on loan from Liverpool who hasn't player regular football for 18 months. Wowsers. Sort it out Saints.
-
Pompey have signed that 17 year old from Hampton & Richmond, must be them.
-
He must have been on schoolboy terms as he would have needed to be on these to play for England Schoolboys. Same situation as Fulham signing Chris Smalling from Maidstone. They did bung them £10k as a goodwill gesture and another £10k after he'd played 10 games (maybe in part becuase Roy Hodgson has links with Maidstone) before flogging him on for £10 million or whatever it was not long after. It's a ridiculous rule which shafts non-league clubs, but hey, who at the FA gives a flying crap about them?

I can't believe you don't buy a programme. I'm actually shocked, I imagined you sat in a room surrounded by cabinets full of them in chronological order. Walls covered in Saints posters and scarfs, Saints duvet, pillowcase, rug and slippers. And a picture of Turkish on the bedside cabinet.

More Puncheon news at the bottom of this article. Results of fitness tests aside, it reads as if it's distinctly possible he'll be playing for us again. "Jason Puncheon has also come back into the building for the first time this morning from being on loan. We have done a little MOT on him and assessed him from a fitness point of view, just to see where he is. "We will sit down and have a discussion as to where we are with it, to see what his future holds with him. He has had almost a year out on loan now at Blackpool and then QPR, so we need to sit down and decide what the future holds." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2567651,00.html

As for the team I'd rest Davis, Richardson, Fox, Fonte, Cork and Lallana and go with Bart Butterfield Martin Hooiveld Harding De Ridder Schneiderlin Ward Prowse Holmes Connolly Guly And some subs. We'll make changes though. The OS is softening us up for them with this: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2567651,00.html

He could have even pushed it to the side. I'm sure Kelvin himself will be pretty hacked off with that goal and the first Brighton one. He's still quality though.
-
Let Kelvin have a go. Apart from Ceni in Brazil you rarely see goalkeepers taking penalties these days. Maybe I just haven't been noticing, but it seems a long time since a keeper got to take one late in a game when their team were a few goals ahead. Has a Saints keeper ever scored a penalty? Not that it counts, but I remember seeing Paul Jones crack in the winner in a shoot out at the Kassam Stadium for the Ted Bates Trophy.

Hahaha. Are most of your friends BNP? Some of them are. I kind of got into it through my friend Danny. He's really racist. Everyone calls him "Nazi Danny". He started telling me about them, and it made a lot of sense.

Saints players with Surnames that are also Christian names.

Mark Paul (did he ever play for the first team?) -
Good. Hopefully they'll now prosecute Dobson's mum for perjury.
-
I ordered a chicken balti pie and was given a chicken and ham one instead. What a disgrace.
-
The station stank afterwards too. What was that all about?
-
It's because there aren't enough refs, which in turn means the ones at the top aren't that good.
-
Same here. Easily the better team in the first half. My mate who supports Brighton and was at the game said the same at half time. Didn't see the Lambert red card incident clearly enough to comment fully but he was definitely fouled in the box early in the second half as it happened right in front of me as I cam back up the steps.
