  1. I emailed David Conn at the Guardian about this last night. He replied thanking me for the information and said he will look into it "with interest". Good lad.
  2. Of course. I like the way delldays points out what CB Fry said to back up his claims. Maybe I missed the meeting when he was appointed as some sort of forum guru whose opinion should be listened to above all others.
  3. I think that giving us promotion to celebrate was enough. And I wouldn't have got a beer off him anyway as I was in the home end at Plymouth!
  4. We should all hide when he comes back. Logout for the day. Mind you I'm already in fits of rapture wondering what his opening post on return will be.
  5. That's why the stopped doing it then. It was pointless. I think they just wanted to show off their new camera. Has it happened recently? Can't say I've noticed if it has.
  6. Sadly my Dad is vaguely related to the Acourt family. Word on the grapevine is that Gary Dobson's Dad is (or was at the time) both a criminal and police informant who got (or paid) them to cover the whole thing up as a favour. So rather than the sergent tampering with the evidence due to "spite" as reported in today's paper it's because he was in Dobson's pocket the whole time.
  7. Ollies Ocean World it's called. Shut down now though.
  8. I did it about 7 years ago in Southampton. Was a suspected child abuse case which was slightly grim. Lasted 5 days all in all. Fascinating really to see how it works and how the people in the jury come to their conclusions. As soon as we started deliberating one bloke on the jury said straight out, "can we just all agree he's guilty so we can go home?" After 2 days of deliberating we ended up with no overall majority. I'm still not sure whether the bloke was guilty or not as neither side were particularly convincing and there were huge holes and inconsistencies in the prosecution case. They were pushing for a retrial but I'm not sure if it ever happened. Was a real mix of people. One old bloke said that the whole process had reaffirmed his faith in human nature because we all went about it in such a civil way.
  9. It is a bit weird. I know a few people who have hardly been to any games this season but are right up for this one. Will probably sell out on the walkup but the Itchen will look silly with that empty block of corporate seats in the middle.
  10. As far as I'm aware that is correct. I asked them to check mine last season because someone else generally buys them for me and they weren't showing up in my online account. They all showed up when they checked at the ticket office though. And yes it is an awful system. It's really not that hard to set up a database which works correctly.
  11. There's one in the Quays but I'm not sure if that's limited to people using the pool or gym. Does Ikea have one? It's got some sort of kids area anyway.
  12. Very good.
  13. I like Charlie Brooker's twitter comments on the advert: "Anyone who wells up at that John Lewis ad is a monster. That's a dog's head in that box. Weep for the dog, not the fake sentiment." "Don't think I've ever found anything more terrifying than the general reaction to that John Lewis shop advert. The shop advert. Shop advert." "Anyone who cries at that advert is literally weeping IQ points out of their body. We are f*cking doomed."
  14. Where in that thread does it say they are planning to bring banners to St Mary's? Also it does seem that quite a few of their fans appreciate we are a better team than them and Adkins is doing a good job. But I guess that's not very interesting, so best to mislead everyone with an untrue thread title.
  15. Don't worry, I normally take my gloves along to St Mary's on matchdays just in case.
  16. That's exactly the sort of anti-Saints claptrap I'd expect from a plastic like you.
  17. This is most amusing.
  18. But you have a computer so, as our oversees fans will testify, a stream will be available. I'd say watch the Leicester game on your pc and come to the Cardiff match.
  19. Yep. Cracks me up when I have the misfortune to listen to 606 and people ring up saying "I didn't watch the game but I listenend on the radio and this is my opinion." Zzzzzzz. I'm in full agreement with the people who say you go to watch Saints and it shouldn't matter who the other team are. Reminds me of a cartoon that was in Roy of the Rovers years ago where a fan is at the turnstile asking if he can pay half price because he'd "only come to see the home team."
  20. 11am I believe. Website says games kick off at that time unless stated differently. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/AcademyFixtures/
  21. Anyone else going to this tomorrow? Think I might take a trip down to Staplewood for it, good chance to see the youngsters while there's no first team game.
  22. Did I say season ticket? Sorry, I meant wrinkly cock.
  23. Before Ipswich away this season there were a few local fans in the pub saying that she'd been seen at Portman Road that day and was going to the game. If I saw her at St Mary's game I'd definitely wave my season ticket at her.
  24. Anyone that goes to less games than me is a plastic as far as I'm concerned. (Winky thing in case that offends anyone)
  25. It was mentioned on the previous page of this thread. Could be nonsense which is why I prefaced my post with "if it's true"!! As for selling them to non-season ticket holders well I just presumed we would. Can't see any reason not to put them on sale to people on the database.
