Not read the whole thread so may have been mentioned but the need to post out tickets could be done away with completely. Cinema tickets can be booked and paid online, you just turn up, stick the card you paid with in a vending machine and out come the prepaid tickets. Technology wise it could probably even extend to opening the turnstile for you, although some sort of ticket would still be needed to show seat number. They still charge a fee as well but nothing like £3 but with no postage their costs are lower. Only downside , but an upside for club, would be not risking getting there too late as queues likely to build up. Earlier arrival=potential to spend more whilst you're there.

Barton Rovers rings a bell for the team at Wembley. I'd say we outnumbered Luton three or four to one that day
-
My point wasn't whether you like it or not, it was the fact that it IS a funeral tune.

OK You've got me in two minds here. If that was intended as ironic humour then If it wasn't then

I take it you understood the meaning then Gemmel, I had to look it up I'll second your sentiments though

So, roughly speaking, costs every fan the equivalent of an extra £1.25 per game (whether that be from increased ticket price, "Cortese Tax (****ing stupid title) parking fees, eating more burgers at SMS or wherever,) that covers the salary of the one man that not only masterminded the rescue of the club but has changed virtually all of it's business practices to ensure it's continued survival and (hopefully) future successes. I'd have thought any fan would see that as good value

Why should they bother to explain a price rise?. It costs them more, they charge more. I'd hazard a guess that you can't find a single clothing manufacturer/supplier exporter in the far east that hasn't increased prices in the last 12 months at least once if not more.

WTF? Only heard last night Deppo was banned. Just read through this thread. Christ there are some small minded tossers on here. IMO he was the funniest poster on here. But I appreciate humour is a personal taste thing, some people like Lee Evans, I think he's ****e. Wouldn't want him banned from my tv though, I'd simply switch over so I can ignore him, Speaking of which, oh look, quelle surprise there's an ignore function on here. So for all those that have been "offended" by Deppo over and over again, why haven't you simply got him on ignore instead of whining like a bunch of spoilt kids. Even if he has made the odd genuine insult ever heard the expression "sticks and stones ......." ? For the first time I'm tempted to pay up the £5 just so I can add a Deppo avatar but realised that maybe the Deppo banning is a revenue raising ploy designed to achieve just that. Think I'll just remove saintsweb from my bookmarks instead and find a board with some grown up rules

Supply and demand . Coventry and Derby have both got plenty of other teams within an hours drive people (lovers of football as opposed to committed fans) can go to instead. Geographically Chelsea is probably our nearest "competitor" for football lovers (don't think I've forgotten anyone there)

Meanwhile pre season fixture opponents are still to be announced ...

I noticed this billboard ad along Millbrook Road this morning. With talk earlier in the thread of NYC type collar etc is it more than coincidence I wonder? And in true post season 2+2= whatever you want it to equal conspiracy stylee, with the team being whisked off to the USA for their "reward" maybe we've more than just a similar kit to look forward to

I guess newspaper/tv editors are instructed by the courts that they can't mention certain things as the court knows how to get hold of them to advise them of such. But no one has been able to explain to me what law I had broken by naming him on twitter if no-one has issued me with an official notification that I can't mention him. In future, if injunctions are to be enforceable, judges will have to notify everybody in the country (as anyone can post on the internet) of the details of the story that they must not mention, so in effect there won't be any need for any of us to mention it as we'll know that everyone else knows anyway. I helped that day too, the dozen or so helpers was only just enough, it was darned heavy. Guessing a flag will be much lighter weight and will look great. BTW think your confusing Nick with John W******d with your comment . -

I like the way that Google links words and phrases in articles to ensure related adverts appear on the page. Love the way that this advert appeared in that article , google must have decided that Pompey = fish

The club wishes to clarify details of the purchases after the 3 men concerned were overheard in the car park speaking in Russian accents, discussing their surprise that they managed to buy the whole club without exceeding their credit card limit

Read 7 or 8 different reports on the incident. Many mentioned that the song was a regular part of his set, that the complainants were not in the audience but passers by and that the song had started before they were passing. Maybe not facts in a court of law but reasonable assumptions based on what was reported.

An overused phrase but poitical correctness gone mad. My own take on the story - http://wurzelsweb.blogspot.com/2011/04/it-was-little-bit-frightening.html
