CONFIRMED: Juanmi signs for Real Sociedad
musesaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Shame. Showed flashes of real ability. -
He is outstanding and we need him. His best is yet to come Those happy to sell for £30m need to have a word with themselves.
-
Apparently Erwin is the better tactician. Worth keeping?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bizzare thread. Don't believe all those 5 want to leave
-
I rate him and you certainly can't fault his commitment
-
Long did

Why did Mane look so Pi*!ed off , even after his goals?
musesaint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I hope he doesn't leave in the summer Games like yesterday's show exactly why we need him... His confidence recently has been shot to pieces but he showed great character after missing the pen and got himself back on track. It will do him the world of good I for one hope he stays -
Serbia's loss is our gain?

Southampton appeal against Sadio Mane red card - Appeal Successful
musesaint replied to Koolman's topic in The Saints
Shame he's not a 5th one sat 200 miles away from the nearest stadium ! -
My heart says we'll win. My head says don't be ridiculous

100% agree. Much as I hate Clattenburg, Kevin Friend is by some distance the worst referee for any Saints game. He is blatantly bias...especially when he is refereeing a Scousehampton game.
-
Fantastic performance from the team yesterday. With the single exception of Kevin Friend, Mark Clattenburg is, without doubt, the worst referee you could possibly have for a Saints fixture. Clattenburg away is one of our trickiest fixtures. Playing him at home is also fraught with danger! Whilst Victor's challenge was reckless most refs would not have given the red card for that. Having so many West Ham players in his face clearly influenced his decision. At least two West Ham players made far worst tackles than Wanyama's. It's not so much that Clattenburg is blatantly bias, is the total inconsistency of his decisions when refereeing any game which is the most frustrating. In the end, a fantastic defensive display saved the day. Credit to all the players (with the possible exception of Pelle who was awful again) for their resolve in making sure we didn't let the one nil advantage slip. Fantastic atmosphere with the crowd pushing the team over the line at the end!

My understanding is that it has already been conclusively shown on manifold occasions that Alex Crook is a total and utter 101% TW**T

Got to love Fraser Mahusssive

Classe was outstanding today And can't help but feel that the "Fraser Factor" shouldn't be underestimated. He exudes a calming effect

United have been poor this season. They might have won last weekend but it's a fact that "one scouse does not make a summer"
-
FFS. Do not sell Long. Scousehamton can do one.
-
I thought they were already married ?
-
I thought the big question about Austin was his temperament ? Saints are presumably happy that at 26 he's more settled. Otherwise this signing would be slightly off the "Southampton Way"
-
Because he's good?
-
Someone explain why we'd want to sell our most hard working and, given a decent run in the team, most consistent striker
-
Please name the player we should have signed to replace Morgan
musesaint replied to redkeith's topic in The Saints
You cannot replace the irreplaceable! -
Agree with what a lot of people are saying about Matt Targett. Thought he was excellent tonight. Very under rated young player who potentially has a great future.

I rate Pelle very highly but the core of last night's amazing turn of fortune was playing without him. He's been carrying an injury for months and last night proved that we shouldn't have been persevering with him on the pitch whilst injured. The change in formation and team gave the movement and pace that we have lacked for months. The result was proof that we should've been looking for alternatives months ago. I also thought that Shane Long's comment in his post match interview about "playing for one another as a team and not complaining" was interesting in that Pelle is often the player who is shouting at his teammates and complaining. A fit Pelle is still one of our greatest assets ...but an injured Pelle is not.
