The positive was a much better overall performance The negatives were another goal in extra time. How many of those do we concede ? And another failure to take our decent chances. Unless we sort these key points out we are likely to be in for another very rough season

So Saints now have the records for the fastest Premier League hat trick AND the fastest Premier League goal. God we’re good.

Great performance last night considering expectations before the game. The eternal problem with Saints is that we need 4 or 5 decent chances to score 1 goal. The best teams have the players to put most of those away. Had Shane Long put that chance for 2-0 in it could so easily have been a different game. But then that’s always the story with Saints. More pain than gain. We’ll never be described as Glory Hunters ....unlike so many of those plastic Liverpool fans who turned up yesterday.

By rights we should have been given 6 points for today’s game. 3 for beating Spurs. And another 3 for beating that utter bell end Kevin Friend. Biased beyond belief.

We have a decent manager and a seriously underforming team. Yes some of them are shi*t*e. Others aren’t. There is no leadership on the field. It’s not just that the defence are vulnerable. We also have barely two players that look like scoring a goal, despite creating more chances than we were.

We are sh*te and we know we are... In over 45 years I’ve never left a game early. Today I actually left after the third goal. Just couldn’t watch us capitulate yet again. They couldn’t even hold on for 0-2
