Most people want their careers to move on and earn more money. In the PL the top 4 pay more than Saints but Saints pay more than Eredivisie clubs like Feyenoord or FC Twente. No doubt if Dudic and Ings sign and do well they'll be angling for a move in 18 months. If they fail they'll be happy to sit on their fat contracts.

It was a semi serious point. Yes child abuse was a hidden crime up till the 1970/80s and people of all classes and backgrounds were involved. Social norms were different then and stuff which is now seen as a serious crime was more often dismissed as creepy, bad form and something people got beaten up over but not jailed. I dont, hes a good player. My point is that if two of your midfield are breaking up play and winning the ball but not creating then you will have lots of possession but do little with it - which was exactly our problem last season. A bit more spark would be a fair trade off for a bit less cover imo.

Its a combination of things. The comments when signing his five year contract; the refusal to ask for a transfer so retaining his bonuses; the wanting to join Liverpool whilst kissing the Saints badge; the threatened strike and lastly but not least - the fact Saints developed him for 14 years when frankly he wasnt much good - anyone remember his 1 goal season in the Championship when we got relegated? He finally comes good after 14 years and then immediately wants to eff off. Thats why the vitriol.
