Mirror saying for the price of Luke Shaw you could buy the whole of the AC Milan team, who were CL finalists. Puts it in perspective.

There usually isnt any logic or higher thought processes - its usually just a visceral reaction. He's obviously capable of more measured input but doesn't bother to control his impulses. Odd.
Supporting your team (as opposed to going to watch a football game) is all about tribalism and associating yourself with a particular identity. Keep changing the colours / badges / strip, have too few home grown players and make it obvious that whilst fans may have loyalty managers and players dont and you turn it into just another consumer product that people can take or leave.
The whole game and media coverage has become over hyped and over dramatised. Stuff that 20 years ago no-one would have commented on is now a public circus of moral outrage for days. 1
Its just PR. Better to sell him to Real Madrid for a huge amount of money citing his bite as the reason, rather than sell him to RM for a huge amount of money because you dont want to invest more in the team.
Ya know I think I might be. Fit women in their 30s still do it for me, but Im not rich enough to turn most of them them on. Fit 50 year olds are pretty rare...
Seems odd. We havent got two front players who are fit and who we wouldn't want to sell. Gallagher possibly, but no-one is going to buy Rodriguez atm and we'd say "yes, please, now" to any enquiries for Osvaldo, Mayuka or Sharp.
I wouldnt be surprised if he starts to have reservations about a Liverpool move. With Suarez gone and Gerrard unlikely to be as influential next season all of a sudden glory doesn't look so nailed on (though the money might).
But hes not worth £45m to us is he? If anyone offered anywhere near that we'd snap their hand off and buy someone just as good for half the money. None of our players are irreplaceable, apart from maybe Shaw and even then there are prices where it would make sense to sell.
