Thats the trouble - too many people think good sports matches are all about the tv audience. I'd like to see a European Cup like the FA Cup - any team can progress through different levels of qualifiying. Every team in the PL, Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A along with top half teams from other leagues would get at least one European tie.

We struggled for goals in many games last season, lacked options upfront, relied too much on Lallana for creativity and tended to fade in the second half - and didnt do too badly. Its a shame about some of the departures, but Im excited to see how the new team will look and perform

Why would he turn down actual bigger clubs in favour of a club with a vision of getting bigger? He was in a hole at Lyon and wanted out. Seems to me he thought a year at Southampton in the PL window would be good for him.

We couldn't reasonably expect to keep hold of shaw and lallana not bothered about. 25m for a player who can't head, last more than 60 minutes and has one good season at 25 years old is very good business. As long as we spend the money well we'll be stronger.
