  1. That was the front page news
  2. Li-on
  3. We lack a clinical finisher who can move and run. Not sure thats low cost.
  4. I wonder if thats where the speculation about Shaw is coming from. If we really have two outstanding 18 year old left backs it would be impossible to keep them both happy - so pocket the £30m and strengthen elsewhere? This is from a year ago. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2013/01/04/3645637/chelsea-arsenal-liverpool-track-southampton-teenager-matt
  5. Depends a lot on how big his current wages are. If they're high we probably wont get much of a fee.
  6. Konoplyanka unlikely http://www.fanatix.com/news/liverpool-konoplyanka-update-player-claims-move-is-serious/179946/

  8. Lol. The Forest watches and pens arent as smart either.
  9. The real news about Fox leaving is that Shaw clearly isnt going anywhere. Also isn't there a new academy left back on the fringes of the first team?
  10. His defence was not that he didn't kill Lee Rigby but that he did so as a soldier engaged in an act of war. Obviously the court dismissed that defence but I wouldnt be surprised if thats the basis of his appeal.
  11. Thats what peacemaking often is. Mother Theresa didnt start any wars so she didnt have the power to stop any. Where would the NI peace process be if McGuiness and Billy Wright had been excluded? What are the chances of peace in Afghanistan without involving the Taliban leader?
  12. I think people are a little confused about what the Nobel peace prize is for. Its awarded for specific acts of peacemaking - its not some kind of lifetime achievement award. Inevitably many of those involved in the most dramatic acts of peace will have previously been protagonists.
  13. Really? Mine smells like shreddies
  14. Obviously you don't know if other factors will change in the future so you can never have total certainty. What I find odd is that people accept without question modelling for their life expectancy, for their probability of having a car crash and claiming on insurance, for the number of time an IKEA drawer can be opened. However when it comes to something important - being reasonably cautious with the only planet we have to live on - ie using the precautionary principle, there is all this rank outcry and attempts to say scientists are stupid or in some kind of collusion.
  15. He hung around at Espanyol when they were selling every year.
  16. Lets hope he doesnt lamp anyone at Juve before they sign him in the summer. Probably no better odds than evens.
  17. Again no (imo). If, for example, you want to predict the impact of atmospheric C)2 at 500ppm with all other factors variables remaining the same you can do that with a high degree of probability by looking at changes with CO2 at 300ppm, 310ppm, 320ppm and on etc. Its what much science is built on. When material sciences look at how pesticide degrades over 50 years, or office building steel structures respond to weathering over 100 years they don't actually wait around for the results in real time, its modelled.
  18. No he's saying the data is put into computer models because the people involved are too thick to work the problems out for themselves. That itself shows he doesn't understand what the climate models do - which is not to come up with THE answer - but to see what happens when different variables are altered.
  19. Anyway its pretty academic imo because the bottom two teams in Div 4 are really bad and Pompey bought in a couple of decent players (compared to their current ones) in January. They arent going to get relegated this year but they do have to work out how to pay for their anti relegation splurge. Lots of miles in this yet.
  20. Translates as "I don't understand it so I'm going to lash out again"
  21. Its already out of date Bear. Cortese shouldnt be there imo.
  22. Why? He's played only played around 220 games for Saints, mostly in the lower leagues and hes not even the best player in the team. He may well become a legend, but he isnt atm.
  23. That article doesnt rule anything out, just that Vucinic prefers Inter. . There are rumors concerning an alleged deal, basted with Juventus and Southampton, aimed at the exchange of badges of Mirko Vucinic and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. But the operation is not standing, both the attackers hope to change jersey by 31 January, but Mirko always cultivates the hope that it will re-open a crack Inter, with Arsenal and Monaco to take into account where relevant, while at the time the track Zenit is less feasible. As for Oswald, however, we have already said that tomorrow will be a middleman in England to understand the margins of the opening of Southampton.
  24. He's a feeder. He likes things that way.
  25. Looked more relaxed and happy than when Cortese was here...
