1. Not sure we do concede more than average, but if we do its usually a good sign - that the opposition are shut out from getting close to goal and are reduced to long range pops.
2. Thats like finding Aladdins lamp and asking for a packet of maltesers.
3. Its not so much the price imo, its just there isnt much attraction to do it. If there was a great atmosphere, some stuff going on and good beer I would. Atm it doesnt compare well with a good pub (as somebody above posted). The club would be better off making it free in the first year, getting the offer properly sorted out, making it popular - and then introduce a charge later.
4. I think that what PB was getting at is that you book hotels for work trips on different criteria than if travelling for pleasure. If your company is tight on expenses get as much included in the hotel rate as possible. Free wifi is something I always look for, along with easy access near the train station or airport - quick in and quick out. I always try to do something for me related to the place Im in - even if its just drinking a quick local brew in a non chain bar - otherwise your whole life can blur into one mass of chain hotels, muted shades, taxis and airport sandwiches.
5. Echo the post above, South east London - much more affordable and there are some good parts, like Denmark Hill, Dulwich, Tulse Hill and catch the train in to London Bridge in 15 minutes.
6. Ive got Vodafone eurotraveller. It costs £3 a day but means you use your normal UK plan whilst abroad - so data will be within your allowance and calls are UK prices. No idea if this is one of the best deals on the market or not, but it works for me.
7. Dear old Express. The bronze medals, lots of orange, lack of red white and blue and being completely different people didnt give them a clue apparently.
8. Whooosh Its a joke. Glasgae always says Guly is ****e so this is his opinion of Guly for the next game. .
9. Am I right in thinking the FL are still using the ball that moves a lot in flight, but the PL are using a 'truer' ball this season?

Nah. He's always been ugly.
11. Well, my mum who was bombed out of her house and school didn't mind. Nor did my dad who was on the Russian convoys. So whilst clearly Im mortified that you are upset by something which was commonplace in the 1970s, forgive me if I dont self harm in penitence. Especially as my tw atishness was over 30 years ago whilst that of some pointing the finger can be read here most days.
12. Oddly people weren't as precious then as they are now.
13. The thing is, you are looking at a fellow professionals work and admiring the fulfilment of the contract - the volume of work and effort under the bonnet with the turbo design and structural bracing. As consumers you just want to know if you can see out the window, change gear easily, is it a nice colour and are the seats comfy. Maybe Mercedes did build the site, but looks and drives like a Lada.
14. Lehman Bros were one of top investment banks.
15. Im just saying Ron made a single wry throwaway comment. As fans we dont have to look for divisions before the season has even started
16. Isnt there only one person being slightly hysterical about a throwaway comment by one poster?
17. Not quite as weird as it sounds. It was the late 1970s / early 80s and used to be into punk and bikes there was a lot of right wing imagery associated with that. Used to hang out down the Compton Arms / Mados in St Mary's then go for a curry and maybe to the West Indian club for a late night beer, still wearing the cutoff. They used to let us in but the Top Rank wouldnt
18. Dont be a chimp, sorry chump, Trousers.
19. He'll have to come back under a fouth incarnation then.
20. She doesnt seem to own many pullovers.
21. Dune has a very small mast. I can tell by his posting style.
22. People like different things at different ages. Im not sure why the sudden big outrage. I used to wear a denim cut off with a big swastika on the back (go me dune). At 18 my group of friends and I used to find that kind of baby joke funny. Now with two kids and a couple of miscarriages, I dont. No biggie Its just the way life is.
23. The joke page or the campaign against it?
24. The assets excluding Fratton park are valued at £1. The goodwill is valued at £1. Surely minus £150 million of antipathy would more than balance those out.
25. Damn. I was about to throw my leiderhosen away and get my gold camel racing saddle out in celebration.
