  1. BBC Sport ‏@BBCSport CAPITAL ONE CUP Q-FINAL DRAW - Leeds v Chelsea #bbcfootball
  2. Was he the bloke with the oil rig or am I mixing rumours?
  3. Ah, maybe I was confusing Butterfield with Seabourne. Or maybe they were as bad as each other?
  4. Butterfield looked particularly awful if those 'highlights' are anything to go by
  5. Halloween special... Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints Extended highlights of last night's game at Leeds are now on Saints Player: http://sfcne.ws/SeIYbv #saintsfc
  6. Our first home game with £30m worth of new defenders. Should be a corker.
  7. p.s. Has someone kidnapped Rallyboy?

  9. I've got a scanner in my loft somewhere if that helps....
  10. That's genuinely made me feel queezy. That footage should be showed to every 17 year old who's just passed their driving test. Not singling out 17 year olds as the worst drivers per se, as no doubt many of the accidents on that footage were caused by lunatics across all age groups, but sometimes youngsters need the **** scared out of them to avoid them following in equally bad footsteps. I remember watching a "train awareness" film as a young teenager and recall it scareing the life out of me....everytime I cross a railway line some 30 years later I still have those images in my mind. Off for a stiff one....thanks DP!
  11. ------------------------- Boruc ---------------------------- Richardson/Clyne--- Fonte ----- Yoshida ---------- Clyne/Fox -------- Davis ------------------------ Schneiderlin --------- ------------------------ Lallana ---------------------------- ------- Mayuka ------------------------- Lambert ---------- ---------------------- Rodriguez --------------------------- Bench: Davis/Gazza, Reeves, Hooiveld, Cork, Ramirez (if in contention), Ward-Prowse, Puncheon/Guly/Lee (2 from 3 if Ramirez not in contention; 1 from 3 if he is) If Richardson is fit I would play him at right back and Clyne at left back (out of position I know, but he played well there vs Villa). Failing that, stick with Clyne and Fox. If Ramirez has recovered from his injury but isn't "match fit" I would have him on the bench. The front 3 are the ones that I struggle most to place. I'm thinking Rodriguez should play up top because he has more pace than Lambert and should be high on confidence after getting his first Premier League goal on Sunday. I also noticed that Lambert started playing a bit deeper and wider after Mayuka came on vs Spurs so could he slot into that kind of role from the outset maybe? Anyway, some combination of Lambert, Mayuka and Rodriguez up front for me.
  12. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/appleton-relief-at-end-of-burnley-saga-1-4424829 So, the "in-demand" Appletion was "never approached".... Keep it up Mr Allen. You never fail to brighten up my day
  13. Good to see they're maintaining the usual levels of straw clutching
  14. I actually agree with you. I don't think fielding a second string side is grounds for a refund. I was just trying to give those that do think differently an outlet for their angst. It is arguable that IF it could be proven a given football team didn't put in anywhere near 100% effort then the consumer is entitled to a refund (partial or otherwise). But, as I say, it's a futile argument as it's not something you could prove conclusively. Anyway, long-winded way of saying "I agree"
  15. I think that's open to debate but it's obviously a grey enough area for no-one to bother testing it out it practice. If you went to watch Take That and only Jason Orange and 3 understudies pitched turned up, would you seek a refund or not?
  16. I believe some people are saying they are entitled to a refund because we put out a side that wasn't "fit for purpose" or that they weren't pre-warned by the retailer (SFC) what they would be getting for their money (legal speak = " not as advertised") I'm simply highlighting that people don 't need some kind of club initiative to refund people (not that that would ever happen) but that they already have recourse through the consumer rights act if they feel they were diddled out of their cash.
  17. ^This. If people paid for something that they didn't then get they are entitled to a refund under UK consumer law (regardless of whether they paid by credit card or not). I doubt anyone will follow this up though - far easier to vent one's spleen on an Internet forum.
  18. Yes
  19. Sums it up nicely for me
  20. I've heard he likes D-cups
  21. What I don't get is why there isn't a barrage of criticism about Adkins before the start of a game we end up losing. Given people seemingly know how bad a given team selection will perform before the game starts why wait until the game is underway or over to vent one's spleen? Yes, you get a few murmurings when a "poor" line-up is announced but people tend to wait until the game goes tits up before laying into the management and players....
  22. For what it's worth, I was in the "concentrate on the league" camp during the JPT run. I don't recall being alone but perhaps not in the majority (I seem to recall opinions shifting the closer we got to Wembley funnily enough...). So, in terms of the "inconsistent opinions" charge....not guilty m'lud
