  1. Just booked my seats through club wembley - block 240 behind the saints goal - COYR!!
  2. indeed - I've posted the same observation before. When our fans were singing 'pay up' it didn't sound any different to 'play up'. A little bit more thought next time please chaps. Thanks
  3. I heard it a couple of times
  4. I rather suspect it has something to do with intelligence levels. My wife was right all along about football 'fans'.
  5. Was just thinking about starting a thread on that very subject - Spiderman and Hammond were the unsung heros for me today. For the first time in a while we seemed to boss the midfield (well, for the first 65 mins at least) And the question is, are they going to be able to raise their game to this level of committment for the next 3 months? That will be the key to the rest of our season IMHO
  6. I agree with this post
  7. Yes, the JPT final is not included in the Club Wembley package but the JPT is classed as a Club Wembley 'option' game - this means the Club Wembley seats only get offered to Club Wembley and MyWembley members for purchase but don't get offered to the general public for sale.
  8. They're £58 on the Club Wembley members website
  9. Just been on the phone to Club Wembley and they said Saints have been allocated the 'home' west end of the stadium for the JPT final. Doesn't really make much difference but thought I'd share. Apologies if someone's already posted
  10. Where did you hear that? I've just spoken to the Club Wembley helpline who said they weren't going on general release...
  11. Edit: oh, and also found out that the club wembley tier does not go out on general release - just to Club Wembley and MyWembley club members. I'm not sure how many seats are in the Club Wembley tier....somewhere between 10,000 and 20,000 I would guestimate.
  12. Sorry if already posted, and not that it makes much difference, but have just found out that Carlisle are in the East end and Saints in the West end of the stadium
  13. The Dulux dog
  14. I've just laughed out loud on a crowded train!
  15. Rupert Lowe
  16. So, the big question....are the EPL just trying to protect their 'brand' (which somewhat ironically will be tainted anyway if they start paying teams their relegation 'bonus' before they're relegated!) or do they have something far more damaging to hide? Who knows...just speculation on my part. Btw, if they pay out the parachute payment to Pompey, how will they decide which other two teams to give it to at the same time (something they'd have to do to make it 'fair', surely?). Some sort of glorified pools panel that decides who's most likely to be relegated?
  17. Is that the same 'corporate nobs' who paid for, and are still paying for, the Wembley Stadium rebuild so that 'real fans' can go to a nice posh stadium to see 'their' team play? Ah, the logic of the average football fan....brings a smile to my prawn munching face everytime... ;-)
  18. correct. The JPT final is not included in the Club Wembley package. Club Wembley members will get first refusal to buy their own seats (at inflated prices no doubt) but I doubt the percentage taking up this option will be very high. Saints V carlisle isn't very attractive to the neutral!
  19. Crying tears of Red and White!
  20. You've made the fatal mistake of crediting the organisers of football tournaments with a modicum of logic....
  21. Eh? Engineering works?
  22. Another out loud chuckle for me.....poor lad!
  23. They're professional atheletes, although I'm not suggesting we play the same 11 for 90 minutes three times a week....just that the STARTING line up is as consistent as possible
