  1. In a defensive or positive way?
  2. Best moment for me was Fonte down the left wing crossing to Jaidi in the box..... :-)
  3. Played well first half but missed Lambert big time. 2nd half - different game. Peter Reid obviously spotted the obvious in that Plymouth gave us far too much space and time in the first half. Plymouth one shot = one goal. Another day and we'd have won the game in the first half. Peter Reid's half time talk was the difference. Oh, and Lallana had a good cameo. With him and Rickie starting we will walk this league.... ;-)
  4. Yep, that one is much better. Some excellent play by us.....would be 3 nil up by now if we had a certain man in the box....
  5. But didn't HMRC only go for the 'extra' £13m in retaliation to AA 'inflating' the original debt figure? i.e. The really 'clever' bit was forcing HMRC into raising their claim in the first place, not the fact that HMRC then (inevitably) 'bungled' the detail of their increment. Why didn't the judge subject the amount AA increased the debt by with the same level of forensics that he gave to HMRC's increased amount?
  6. Madjeski versus Cortese. Hmmm, interesting contest....
  7. I think Deano should seriously consider this. And copy to the FA and FL. There simply doesn't appear to be any balanced forensics in the public domain.
  8. Rings a bell. Wasn't there a 'Malta' thread a while back which might prove useful reference? (can't search easily on this iPhone gizmo)
  9. Depending on your budget.... http://www.xarapalace.com.mt/xarapalace/home.aspx
  10. My guess? 47 bites
  11. Nice bluff Rickie ;-)
  12. Did you have any say on whether the approach for Michael Owen went through or not?
  13. Rickie, re-arrange these words to form a well known phrase: 'cheating' 'are' 'b***ards' and 'Pompey'
  14. Sarah Beeney or Sophie Raworth?
  15. Given it would appear that the Administrator is both architect and arbitrator of his own CVA then who's to say that it might just get 'signed off' as honoured regardless of how much money changes hands? All pure guesswork and supposition on my part of course.
  16. Sorry, but I've now got to the point where I'm actually laughing at the situation rather than being angry about it. Time to forget about the whole thing and switch attention to the start of the season tomorrow me thinks.
  17. The internet is much overrated as a source of information IMHO
  18. I take it we're not releasing this news at the customary time (11:23pm) as that would be past this lad's bedtime? ;-)
  19. Maybe this is just a 'once off' for the first game of our 125th anniversary because they want to 'officially' reveal the new kit as a bit of an exclusive? Or is this 'regime' in place for the whole season? Does seem a little control freakery-esque but nothing to get wound up about. It's only football.
  20. Ah, someone beat me to it in the comments section of the BBC blog:
  21. So, bottom line, HMRC screwed up with their timing? Brilliant. Although Matt Slater is making one huge assumption.....that all the non-HMRC debt was "genuine".....No?
  22. 11:23pm, surely?
