  1. Lord Mawhinney on SSN now
  2. Football League chairman Lord Mawhinney on SSN in next hour to explain their decision
  3. I would imagine the club's lawyers are pawing over the content before any statement is released....
  4. Except in posts saying we shouldn't mention them....
  5. Still 'very very hopeful' Morph?
  6. Barclays called the shots
  7. No one thought it would be a good thing per se. Some thought it might be better in the long run than the alternative. Not the same thing.
  8. Sky Sports News asking for Saints fans to email their reaction. This would be a good question to email them to get it on national TV
  9. A simple equation: Selling season tickets = club saved Does today's decision by the football league affect the club's ability to start selling them now....and fast? Or does it complicate things further?
  10. So, can we start selling season tickets for League 1 now and thus keep the club afloat?
  11. Perhaps it would help with the clarity if Richard Chorley posted why one Saints fan group is 'competing' with another fan group?
  12. I saw a lathe .... wierd (sic)
  13. I saw this sign the other day.....
  14. Devils advocate alert.... What did the alternative path look like?
  15. If he was close, what stopped him pulling the funds together in the end? Was it a small piece of the jigsaw that was missing or was the jigsaw in 1000s of jumbled pieces on the floor with a torn lid? (hmm....not a bad analogy by my standards ) And, if it was the former (one small piece of the jigsaw) what stopped him completely the deal shortly after administration if it was that close beforehand ? And.....Is he still "frantic" as we speak?
  16. Bet you can't name 5....
  17. Sorry if I'm being thick (just this once) but is that one of those number plates that's supposed to spell out a name if I squint hard enough? Can't see anything in that one. Sorry if obvious, long day.
  18. Wrong analogy IMO. Try the one where you amputate a leg to try and save someone's life. It doesn't always work but the patient would have died if you did nothing anyway.
  19. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4310706.Hoddle_Ipswich_favourite_after_Magilton_sacked/ "Hoddle Ipswich favourite after Magilton sacked Glenn Hoddle has been installed as the early favourite to take over as Ipswich boss after ex-Saint Jim Magilton was sacked."
  20. Alan Shearer and Iain Dowie
  21. Indeed. And this philosophy has been explained on here before, although, to be fair to Jonah, on other threads.
