  1. Didn't get that one Ponty. Hope you're not trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
  2. So, I'd venture we're talking a hearty 6 figures then
  3. I herd that too
  4. Not my understanding. I thought the deadline for losing the points this season was doing the deed before this coming Thursday?
  5. OS tongue-in-cheek-ery, I know, but the opening line of this article made me chuckle! Saints may not be chasing silverware this season, but will be involved in seven 'Cup finals' according to Head Coach Mark Wotte… http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11542
  6. I wonder if the collapse of the WH Ireland / Blue Oar takeover talks last week have any influence on Lowe's next move....?
  7. Yep, a deposit + balance payment scheme makes sense to me...which means the 'only' reason for the ST delay that holds water is that administration was/is a foregone conclusion?
  8. Couldn't they have started selling season tickets 'on time' at Championship rates with the proviso that they would refund 10 - 20% if we were to be relegated? Wouldn't that have covered all bases? Or maybe our financial plight simply means a company can't trade in 'futures' if it's about to go under?
  9. How come we didn't hear about that on here like we 'normally' do...?
  10. Abu Dhabi do? (sorry, couldn't resist)
  11. Source....?
  12. What a cheerful morning we're having!
  13. Indeed. I'm up-to-date with my personal tax payment "today". Doesn't mean I will be "tomorrow"
  14. Like not paying a major creditor (Notts County) on time, for example?
  15. Where did you get the 'Ian' bit from (sorry, brain on a go-slow today...)
  16. http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=113326&p=1787443&hilit=southampton#p1787443 edit: Hamster got there before Trousers. Always the way.
  17. Thinking out loud here....why have we continued to play David McGoldrick if we owe Notts County a "6 figure sum" based (I assume) on appearances?
  18. http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10426~1600532,00.html John Armstrong-Holmes moved today to again dismiss rumours that Notts County are in serious financial difficulty. The Magpies' chairman said he is "totally fed up" with having to react to comments and innuendo that is having such an unsettling affect at Meadow Lane. He said: "Our vice-chairman Roy Parker issued a statement last week which made it plain to supporters that there's no truth in the rumours that we are on the brink of going back into Administration but it seems some people just don't want to listen to the facts. "I have already explained that we are having the same sort of problems as virtually every other business - and football club - in this country. "For example, Southampton owe us a six-figure sum as one of the David McGoldrick transfer payments that should have been paid last month. Hopefully, we will be receiving that money in April.
  19. As we're all aware, the recent annual/financial report published tail end of 2008 clearly stated that SLH/SFC needed 'significant investment' from internal or external sources to remain a going concern. On the assumption that we will avoid going into administration during this 'ten point penalty deadline' week, it would suggest that the aforementioned investment has been found, would it not? Either that or the bank has adjusted the threshold for meeting the 'going concern' criteria? Any educated guesses?
  20. Paul Anka
  21. Rupert Lowe?
  22. What, goose feathers?
  23. I think you're confusing Southampton with Northampton.....
  24. I would venture it has more chance than the opposite. Just a hunch.
  25. More than a murmer surely? Does he not read this site?
