  2. I'd like to see Calum Slattery thrown into the mix as a bit of a wild card.
  3. FFS Pompey. I'm counting on you getting promotion this season

Or, put another way, only 35.5% of the Scottish electorate voted for the Scottish Nationalist Party in the 2015 general election. So, when these commentators refer to "Scots" as a whole, what they really mean is "just over a third of Scots". (Yes, I know that stats can be spun to fit a given narrative, but that works both ways...)

    Swansea Game

  7. Virgil did the right thing IMO. Austin, having taken possession of the ball (rightly or wrongly), was in the dominant position and if Virgil had tried to move Austin away it would have ended up more farcical than it did. Moving Tadic away was the more pragmatic approach in the circumstances.
  8. I would have been equally miffed if it was against us, but I can see why it was given. The defender's arm was raised and therefore arguably in an "unnatural position". Looking back at the replay, its also quite telling (perhaps) that the defender's immediate reaction was to look over to the lino with a worried look on his face (Edit: that's the defender's face, not the lino's!)

  11. I was slap bang in the middle of the Northam and don't recall hearing "One Ronald Koeman"
  12. Can't recall there being any discussion about this on the forum yet....
  13. Neil Allen in selecting which parts of previous Pompey history to attribute to current club and which to airbrush shocker...
  14. At the game with my 16 year old son. He's happy with the starting 11. Maybe he should sign up to Saintsweb as he's obviously too optimistic and needs more exposure to manic depressives...
  15. Keep up.... I posted about that yesterday
  16. He knows. Textbook page #64
  17. The game will be called off at half time due to lightning storms, so you'll have plenty of time. (Unless the railway signalling system has come a cropper too of course...)
  18. That's a distinct possibility. However, an away trip to the San Siro might appeal more to those that don't usually do aways given the rarity and prestige of such an occasion. I'm in the "member who does c.10 homes plus 1 or 2 aways a season" camp and I'm much more interested in going away to Milan than I am to the likes of Sunderland or Stoke, for example. (yes, I'm aware that puts me firmly in the Saintsweb intelligentsia's "plastic fan" camp, but it highlights that there could well be a greater % take up from people who don't usually do aways than one might expect.)
  19. So, 5,017 eligible to purchase so far. With 1,900 sold that's a take up rate of 38%. If that rate is consistent for all remaining season ticket holders, how many will will be sold to season ticket holders? i.e. how many season ticket holders are there in total? (if 20,000, for example, that would equate to 7,600 projected sales at a take up rate of 38%)
  20. They're not wrong...
