When Liebherr took over at St Mary's, he acquired the existing football club that played there. When the trust & co took over at Fatpipes, they did so as a new entity. I assume the Football League agreed to transfer the 'golden share' to the new entity whereas that wasn't necessary in our case because the existing football club simply continued under new ownership?
