  2. Not sure if this has been posted before so apologies in advance if it has http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41688280
  3. Hasn't the world been "pretty depressing" for a few hundred thousand years now (in some shape or form)?
  4. Anyone else slightly traumatised that this thread is still a sticky and the WBA build up isn't? No? Just me then...
  5. Textbook
  6. I must admit I am missing the regular updates on how Everton are doing relative to us. They seem to have dried up this season for some unknown reason. Probably too busy updating his stock photo library I guess. (and if that's not worthy of a textbook bite back from Glasgow I don't know what is )
  7. This. Went with my son on the Sport Options flight from Bournemouth. Up at stupid o'clock in the morning....breakfast and beer at Bournemouth Airport at 5:30am.... in Milan before lunchtime.... back to Bournemouth after midnight (shortly followed by the Saints team who pushed in front of us at passport control!)..... and back home in the small hours of the morning via a Big Mac stop off at a deserted Rownhams Service Station.... and back at work at 9am..... As you say, all a tad surreal!

  9. To be fair, it was a valid point though. You did misinterpret 'could' for 'would' which altered the intention of the post you criticised. Anyway, all's fair in love and war. Anyone who'd think this soccer malarkey is serious business the way people bicker on here...
  10. I've heard Labour spokespeople say that if the outcome of the negotiations is a 'bad deal' then they would seek an extension to the article 50 two year negotiation period and repeat the negotiations until such time they got a 'good deal'. Of course, the only problem with that strategy is that all 27 other EU members need to agree to said extension(s). What Labour haven't articulated (to my knowledge) is what they would do if the EU 27 refused an extension.which brings us back around to what you're saying, i.e. what would Labour do if there was only a 'bad deal' on the table and the EU 27 don't grant an extension to negotiations? My guess would be: call for another referendum
  11. Bournemouth, Arsenal and Spurs games moved for TV https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-10-19/southampton-television-fixture-changes-december-2017
  12. Yep. Loved seeing all the photos people took.

    Lemina!

Same thought has occurred to me. I think he plays in a more advanced position for Gabon, doesn't he?

Are Glasgow and Alpine running evening classes now?
  15. That's sonnet funny
  16. Just seen the mid range weather forecast for the weekend. Possible storm force winds and torrential rain on Saturday. Marvelous.
  17. So, what the stats show is that we're good at foreplay but rubbish at penetration?
  18. Yep, it would appear we were able to find another gear when we needed to. All good.
  19. To be fair, we were understandably sitting on a 3-0 cushion at the time and no need to bust a gut for the sake of it
  20. Worldy free kick from JWP! 6-2
  21. McCarthy... Lol Stay where you are Forster.... All is forgiven

    Away tickets

Has anyone asked the club directly why they adopt this over cautious approach and what was their reply?
  23. 1-0 Barnes (8 mins) from a JWP corner
  24. If Hesketh can recapture the form he was in a couple of years ago, whereby he warranted a call up to the first team, he could help plug the gap we have in the out-and-out attacking midfielder department (along with Josh Sims, who's due back in November/December IIRC)
