  1. I can see quite a few West Ham fans taking up crash courses in rock climbing if they stick to their home ground.
  2. I wonder if they're thinking of chartering a few planes and selling seats directly to fans?

  4. This was my favourite 'SarniaSaint' thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?t=51089 Whilst its way behind this one in terms of bite count, its quality over quantity every time for me when it comes to wind-up threads.
  5. The Saintsweb forum isn't renowend for accepting dictionary definitions....
  6. Fratton Park
  7. The amount we're paying these new guys to sit on the beach is a scandal. Just think how many operations or school teachers that could pay for. That's the only downside of these early transfers IMO.
  8. Crossroads? Showing your age a tad there FF
  9. We've certainly slipped down the Premier League "if only English goalscorers counted" table... We were top once upon a time...

  11. What were the shances of that?
  12. *Waits to see if see if St Chalet refutes this one too before deducing that Saint-Armstrong must be right*
  13. Forgive me fellow nutjobbers for having lost the plot on this one, but if this forensic investigation unearths significant historic financial wrong doings, could Pompey face retrospective sanctions? Or to ask it another way, how similar is this to what happened to Luton Town a while back when, if I recall correctly, they received retrospective punishment due to the misdemeanors of previous owners? Does the fact that Pompey are now a different corporate entity shield them from such an eventuality?
  14. Blimey. 6 years to investigate a tinpot football club's finances? Nice work if you can get it. p.s. who's paying for this investigation?

  16. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/catlin-has-no-pitch-concerns-over-early-pompey-schedule-1-6803962 So, to paraphrase...."even though the pitch will be absolutely fine, we'll put in a request so that it has an extra week of being absolutely fine, just without any games being played on it, because why would anyone in their right minds want to play on a pitch that has no problems whatsoever...?" Nothing to do with the Madness concert delaying the start of the re-surfacing process of course...

  18. Around the same time that Baker Tilly published the conclusions of their "forensic investigation" into the club's finances I reckon....
  19. I was thinking the same. That lipstick is a different shade of red to the blouse. Big faux pas.
  20. I didn't think we were allowed euphemisms on here?
  21. Nothing new to be found in this article as far as I can tell, but it perhaps highlights how the Saints 'brand' is reaching a more global audience and raising our profile... http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-06-17/heiress-cracks-premier-league-s-boys-club-to-revive-southampton
  22. Was there ever a Guan 1.0 and isn't it about time he upgraded to 3.0?
