  1. The always reliable Sun, believes the court case will be in October. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3052951/Pompey-face-tax-KO.html
  2. Apart from it only being an early pre season friendly for match fitness you only need to look at the teams in each half. 1st half - Saints Lost 3-0 and only had 4 likely starters in a Saints XI come August 7th - Davis, Harding or Dickson, Puncheon, Fonte 2nd half - Saints Won 2-1 and had 7 likely starters in a Saints XI come August 7th - Harding or Dickson, Puncheon, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Lambert, Fonte, Connolly
  3. Good decision, but will be interesting to see how strictly they enforce the ban.
  4. He is pulling your leg. Why aren't you questioning where the other players who have gone to Switzerland but didn't play tonight? Why only Lallana? You will struggle to find a player in the world that plays in every minute of every pre season game.
  5. Yes, next team they are playing are a top flight French side. Friendlies are for match fitness. Saints haven't had their best 11 on the pitch for 90 minutes each half has had a mix of younger players and regulars from the large squad they have taken with them.
  6. No they don't. They played in it once, 5 years ago.
  7. That would mean relegation to League Two.
  8. Does anyone actually have any evidence of this?
  9. Well considering there were about 13,000 last season to suggest they won't be 8,000 is daft when this year the club are favourites to win the League and were bottom of the League with -10 points last season. That will attract more people than those lost by the lack of installments.
  10. The reserves played in a league. The club have pulled out of the league. The under 21's will not be playing the same games as the old reserves would have done, they will play friendlies home and abroad.
  11. Sounds an interesting structure. Something like this always looked on the cards once the reserves pulled out the league. It is not for an under 21 League Saint Clark.
  12. Football Manager Portsmouth Researcher
  13. Well it must be his agent, because Lee has been in Switzerland for the last 4 days.

Saints have a 1st team goalkeeper coach already.
  15. What is wrong with "Come on you Saints"?
  16. My Forecast looks something like this...
  17. Sorry but... 84% of Smith's 409 League appearances were outside the top flight 74% of Nugent's 246 League appearances were outside the top flight
  18. Those number changes do all make sense, so I think they are as they will be for the season. I doubt Wotton had much of a say in the matter if told by Pardew that the 10 goes to Puncheon. Wotton is a squad player, Puncheon is a starter. Richardson must be 2, but haven't seen that in any video/photo yet. Interesting to see who gets 8 and 11. Holmes or Dickson may get 11 as Lallana is sticking with 20. A new central midfielder for number 8?
  19. Lallana had a great season on the left. Yes, not left footed but that is part of the reason he did so well. Jason Puncheon is a left footed wide player as is Ryan Dickson.
  20. Nothing official yet. But you can see from the Switzerland tour there seem to be a few changes on their training gear as you would expect with squad numbers. From what squad numbers you can see in the videos/photos... Kelvin Davis 1 Dan Harding 3 (he was 2 last season) Morgan Schneiderlin 4 (he was 19 last season) Radhi Jaidi - 5 (he was 6 last season) Jose Fonte - 6 (he was 12 last season) Rickie Lambert 7 Lee Barnard 9 (he was 17 last season) Jason Puncheon 10 (he was 4 last season) Dean Hammond 14 Paul Wotton 16 (he was 10 last season) Joseph Mills 18 Adam Lallana - 20 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 26 (he was 41 last season) Anyone else spot some I have missed?
  21. You can have Mills and Oxlade-Chamberlain and one other as it is 7 subs. Looking unlikely Bialkowski will be the sub keeper.
  22. If they did have a doctor out on the tour he would be furious as would a health and safety official. None of the Saints players wore helmets whilst cycling to training, Radhi Jaidi was cycling with no hands on handlebars, someone was filming whilst cycling and the squad were jumping off a bridge into a canal. Shocking stuff!
  23. It is not in the rules that they have to make replicas of the shirt and sell them. Just that the actual team should have a home and away shirt.
