  1. They won't unless they go into administration, which hasn't happened.
  2. To add to that, anyone that thinks he'd drop down to League One also doesn't have a clue.
  3. Big differences between the two... 1) Pompey's debt is alot bigger (maybe more than £60m in total) 2) Pompey's fanbase is alot smaller 3) Pompey don't have a large modern ground nor their own training ground All these make a less attractive investment for any potential buyers.
  4. Why would he come back when he is starting atm for them in the Premiership?
  5. You singing this on Saturday?
  6. You were claiming Saints didn't spend much in the Summer. When in fact they spent a few times more than any other League One club. I don't see have you can claim otherwise.
  7. Saints spent far more than anyone else in League One in the summer. Its all relative to the League you are in and Saints were massive spenders at this level in the summer on transfer fees, signing on fees and wages.
  8. Yes, their debts are huge and wage bill massive compared to what Saints were before the takeover. Also they don't have a good stadium, training ground or large fanbase to make them attractive to potential future investors.
  9. Did you think that in the summer when Pardew signed 11 players? He did that when we were on -10. Now we a better chance of promotion and much more attractive to any player.
  10. Heard from where? He is 25 and playing in the Premiership on a high wage and cost £8.5m two years ago. Seems extremely unlikely he'd drop down to League One.
  11. No he isn't.
  12. The Carlisle News and Star is not the News of the World
  13. Saints don't even have a player called Davies, so Charlie Wayman really has no idea!
  14. I doubt he will break up the Schneiderlin/Hammond partnership.
  15. So you don't like Papa Waigo then?
  16. Yep and that could have been the original made up rumour from where all the others have come from. It may be true but you may also have been taken in by what happens when one small rumour spreads out on the internet and backs itself up by being in many places.
  17. Getting up speed could just mean that one person made up the rumour and posted it on a forum. Another person saw that rumour and posted in somewhere else and then again until each of the places it is posted become used to back up each other.
  18. No. Next game after the FA cup is 7 days later. If professional footballers can't manage that then they should retire!
  19. It really shouldn't. They'd get swamped in midfield.
  20. It did initially but then worked out better long term. Makes far more sense to spend in January than in the Summer. These new players may help get Saints to Championship this season and if they don't will be more prepared for an automatic push next season.
  21. How anyone can confuse the two I don't know. They have completely different builds and gaits! Ok, they are both black, but no-one can be that ignorant surely!
  22. That will be very hard to do.
  23. Current squad is good enough to get us to the playoffs. However... I wouldn't be as confident of actually getting promotion in the playoffs. If the squad remains the same and Saints play either Norwich or Charlton in a play off final it will be very difficult. The squad therefore needs strengthening to improve chances of winning the playoffs not getting there in the first place. By spending now rather than the summer gives players a chance to "bed in" so even if Saints don't go up this season next season will be all about going up automatically.
