The issue isn't 'guilty by association', it is an accusation of knowing about it but not acting. That hasn't been the case for your example. It isn't an insult to Leon Crouch.

How have you come to that conclusion about this story? Would be a very strange one to just make up. It is very different from making up a transfer rumour.

Saints haven't spent that. It was £300k, rising to £1m. If he leaves he won't ever meet the conditions for the fee to reach £1m as they are likely to be for 1st team related achievements.

When has he ever played in that role effectively?

If he signed for Saints on a permanent deal I think it would be likely he'd get a big wage increase compared to his current Chelsea deal. A first team regular at Saints would earn more than the position Broja was at Chelsea at the time of his new deal in the summer.

Instead of who? Ward-Prowse or Romeu? McGinn wouldn't play in the Romeu role... so his competition is Ward-Prowse and I wouldn't be playing McGinn rather than Ward-Prowse.

Middlesbrough's and Wycombe's point is that Derby screwed their promotion and survival chances, the punishments Derby got did not resolve that. If you think it is unfair on Derby... how about how fair it was for Middlesbrough and Wycombe and their fans?

Why don't you think Wycombe and Middlesbrough have a point? Derby's financial cheating potentially cost Boro a playoff spot and Wycombe a place in the Championship.

My point about contract length was to highlight the situations were different. So a Livramento £5m deal won't be possible for Broja.
