Not really a position we need a player, as centre back is possibly the position we have the best depth in the squad. Money better spent elsewhere.

You can still spit with gum shields in. Even if you couldn't, there are plenty of other non gum shield using sports where players don't spit like footballers.

Why is it spitting is more frequent in football than other sports then? Hockey and rugby players for example don't spit constantly through games.

We don't need him to 'cover' centre back, we have 4 of them the club is happy with. He also isn't an attacking right back in the KWP mould, so isn't really good cover for him.
