  1. That is what they said and its wrong.
  2. Whoever it was that said only two under 16's had been given contracts was wrong.

  4. Did you read what I actually said? It would appear not. I was talking about the best view of the match, not the atmosphere of different areas. In terms of the best view you can get at St Mary's or any other ground, its best to be in line with the halfway line and reasonable high up. If you aren't as interested in watching the match and want to goad the away fans, sing songs and be a long way from one of the goals then the Northam is best.
  5. For those that missed episode 1... Some great work from Saints' media team.
  6. Well its not like sitting behind a pillar at Goodison Park or Loftus Road, but in terms of view of a football game I'd much rather be on the halfway line at the back of the Itchen or Kingland than behind the goals or in the corners. Which is why they are the more expensive seats and the main TV camera uses that position.
  7. Why do you think the main TV camera is on the halfway line at the back? Why do you think the directors box is on the halfway line? Why do you think the most expensive seats in the stadium are on the halfway line? If you sit behind the goal or in one of the corners you are a very long way from one of the goals. If you sit and the front of the stand you don't get a good view of the pitch as a whole. The best view is from the back of the stand in line with the halfway line. As I said, had you left it until today for any reason you'd have been left without. Make sure you are quick for the big league games.
  8. When the Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Man City tickets go sale you won't have your pick until the members have had theirs. - 21,000 season tickets holders - 3,000 away fans - 1,700 hospitality seats - for example 2,000 members snapped up tickets Leaves you scrambling for a seat on general sale with roughly only 4,000 left in the stadium. Yes, if you are early you will get one, but if you are not quick it'll sellout and you'd be left without. Plus those 4,000 will largely be in areas with the poorer views so you'd have less choice. Perhaps I've been conservative with the member numbers, if its larger then the general sale numbers will be squeezed even more for the more attractive games and it'll be even harder to get a good seat.
  9. So what? Being a season ticket holder or member would have given you a better choice of view. You got a ticket before it sold out as you were quick, had you not been then you wouldn't have a ticket as it sold out and would have been left without one like many others.
  10. Your point being? You had less choice when picking a seat compared to a member and had you left it until yesterday you would have been unable to get a ticket apart from in hospitality.
  11. How many players from those sides would you want in our starting XI? Lets take Stoke for example... are you aware so far this summer they have lost Begovic, Moses and N'Zonzi from their squad of last season. Pretty big players for them. Have they replaced them with sufficient quality to overtake us?
  12. As far as evidence goes its umm... not great... Troy Bennett‏@troydbennett Steven Caulker in Harley St. Medical? #saintsfc #qpr not good photo, but was him. Even if it is him in the photo, it certainly doesn't prove that he is only his way to Saints. Its just a photo of a man walking down a street.
  13. Why is it irrelevant? You were the one that made the claim that Saints lost out to WBA. Why are you now backtracking? How do you know what the club is doing? Just because things aren't being reported on a daily basis in the press, that doesn't mean the club aren't working on something. Why have you limited it to only those two possibilities? Why do you think something can only happen if its in the public domain?
  14. Come on, you must be trolling now. Please show me good evidence that Saints definetely made a bid for Chester? You've already been shown to jump to conclusions over Chambers. Wenger today stated Saints haven't approached Arsenal to sign him on loan. You really need to stop taking every single press report as 100% true and then twist it negatively to find something to beat Saints with.
  15. This summer we sold 2 starters and replaced them with Portuguese and Dutch international players of a good calibre. Last summer we sold 4 starters and improved first XI quality and squad depth = got more points, more goals, less conceded & higher league finish No player in their right mind would do that if offered similar amounts of playing time. I very much doubt Saints we interested in him at all, let alone competing with bids and contracts with West Brom for him. We'll be looking for a higher calibre of first choice centre back than Chester.
  16. Wenger today confirmed Saints haven't approached Arsenal for Chambers... "They didn’t try to get Chambers back on loan" So... as I said earlier... you were jumping to conclusions!

  18. Well thats not true.
  19. 8 Vitesse Arnhem players were refused UK entry, had to spend time in Paris getting Visas sorted. Not great preparation for game on Thursday as missed training.
  20. The CEO & founder of our sponsor thinks so... Steven Lewis ‏@steve_veho 2h2 hours ago Great to see sell out against #Vitesse and all season tickets sold. We need a bigger stadium! #saintsfc
  21. Making a song with all the profits going to charity is "cringeworthy"? I don't see how you've compared that to this...
  22. (I note you didn't actually address any of my rebuttal, so I expect you'll be continuing with the same line of alpine_saint "logic" in the future)
