  1. 1 billion RMB = £118m
  2. The discount was for pre-orders only and there was a deadline which has now passed. There is a free demo out on Steam if you want to try it.
  3. When selling a club players count as employees, not assets which increase the value of the business. It is misleading to think how much in total we could get if we sold every player is part of the value of the club, as yes that would easily be more than £200m. Saints have a lot of players in the current transfer market worth £20m+. A half decent Championship season a players are getting £12m valuations, let alone at the level we are at in the top half of the league. I don't think the cost to build stadium like St Mary's or to develop Staplewood doesn't really matter to their current value. As a new owner can't do anything other than play football at the stadium unless the club buys a new stadium then a lot of St Mary's value is the land it is on rather than the building. IIRC the club also still have Jackson's Farm as a piece of land which could potentially hold some development value. From a fans point of view if their is a takeover it is probably better the price is lower, if that means it frees up more of the new owners cash for investment into the club.
  4. Man City have rich Middle Eastern owners and yet a Chinese investment group bought 13% for £265m in 2015... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/01/manchester-city-265m-deal-chinese-investment-group
  5. They have a track record in property development...
  6. If it is true are you going to rule it out being good before you know any details of their plans? I think what is key is that Les Reed remain in charge of footballing decisions. He is the footballing constant in the last 6 years.
  7. His dad tweeted this on the 27th October... Enrique Rodriguez. ‏@KikoRod9 Oct 27 Thank you to all saints fans who are supporting Jay. He is back in training and everything is good. Up the saints, up the clarets He can also be seen in the training videos today. It was just a clash of heads, not really an injury more keeping him out of the Chelsea game as a precaution for concussion rules.
  8. 1) He isn't remotely close to the level of player we need 2) He is a Rotherham United player
  9. - We play a system with 3 attacking players. - We have 6 first team attacking players... Austin, Boufal, Long, Rodriguez, Tadic & Redmond. That is 2 players per position (a ratio most managers ask for), if we had any more it would be bloating the squad and leave a number not even in the matchday 18, plus block the pathway for Olomola, Hesketh, Gallagher etc etc. How many senior attacking players do you think Saints should have?

  11. No, but then as I said Cedric will be the only apparent first choice XI player missing. Saints play a system with three attacking players; Redmond, Austin & Tadic are first choice. Boufal, Long, Rodriguez, Hesketh & Olomola are the back-up attacking players.
  12. If Bertrand plays today, then the only injured player from Puel's apparent first choice XI is Cedric.
  13. Something is going to need to happen with at least one of Bertrand, Targett & McQueen at some point relatively soon (transfer or loan), as teams don't tend to have 3 left-backs 21 y/o+ in their squad and keep them all happy for a prolonged period.
  14. He doesn't match the criteria in the opening post.
  15. Peter Rodrigues is 72 years old, so won't be quick.

  17. Hard to tell for sure, but I think Isgrove is in picture 22 of today's training gallery... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2016-10-25/image-gallery-southampton-sunderland-efl-cup-training Shane Long wasn't mentioned by Puel as being unavailable, so perhaps he'll play some part.
  18. Puel has confirmed Pied, Bertrand, Cedric, Targett & Hesketh will all be unavailable... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2016-10-25/video-claude-puel-pre-southampton-sunderland-efl-cup
  19. He played 60 minutes for the under 23s on Monday evening, so it is very unlikely he'll play again on Wednesday.
  20. How does playing with a back three solve the problem of McQueen being tired, Targett & Bertrand recovering from injury? A back three system requires a left wingback and our most suited players to be a left wingback are Bertrand, Targett & McQueen.
  21. The thoughts of the likes of Phil Neville on Motd 2 have no bearing on what will happen. It is down to what scouts & decision makers at clubs think and how strong a position Saints consider themselves to be in as van Dijk is under contract until 2022 so Saints could do as they did to Schneiderlin & Wanyama and refuse to sell him for another season. I recall people saying Lovren and in particular Alderweireld will be "impossible to replace". That is unlikely to happen, a top centre half will cost even more in January than the summer and clubs will be less likely to sell. A Charlie Austin situation may arise with a player cheap because they are refusing to sign a new deal, but that is rare and would also be hard to keep the squad happy if we sign a new 1st choice CB.
  22. You appear to be suggesting we should have 3 senior players for each position which is daft, it would leave us a bloated squad with 33 players and wouldn't be able to register some of them. We play a formation with 3 attacking players, we have 6 senior 1st team attacking players so 2 per position, plus youngsters like Hesketh & Olomola.

  24. Nope, he did an interview in English on the day he signed for Saints...
